Just to let you know I am still alive but I will not get to post much for the foreseeable future – I only have a little time free for myself and most of the hobby time is taken up by photography to force me out and about (Flickr stream here).

Antenocitis Workshop G.O.T. NRF Kabardin in 15mm Part 2

Posted on January 22nd, 2012 under , , , . Posted by

Back in the first post here I mentioned I was unsure what guns I had been sent with the Kabardin as they did not match the pictures on Antenocitis site.  Within a day, I had been contacted both by blog post and e-mail explaining it was a packing mi…

Antenocitis Workshop G.O.T. NRF Kabardin in 15mm

Posted on January 15th, 2012 under , , , . Posted by

For my first figure purchase this year I decided to buy myself a vehicle to act as an APC rather than have the troops slog across the board and having had a good look around I decided on the Kabardin from Antenocitis 15mm Governance of Technology range…

2 into 1?

Posted on December 28th, 2011 under Posted by

I’ve been playing with the two blogs I run on Blogger and moved them to WordPress hosted on my own site.

I’ve done a quick merge to www.kings-sleep.info as a test.

Could you let me know your thoughts?

Key things for me to know what you think are:

Water Water Everywhere–well river sections

Posted on December 17th, 2011 under , . Posted by

At Recon I was struck by the low level of the details on the terrain used in the HOTT games with rivers / woods / rough being denoted with cloth or felt cut outs. Though serving the job very well (esp as troops just move over them) I did feel it let do…

Scatter Terrain–Animals and Sacks

Posted on December 4th, 2011 under , , , , . Posted by

I’m still looking to build a farmstead (see notes way way back here) and have been collecting some scatter material for raiding parties to target. At Recon I picked up the last of the animals (having already gotten pigs and chickens) from East Riding…

Recon 2011–Not a flake of snow in sight

Posted on December 3rd, 2011 under , , , , . Posted by

Well – some on the odd Critical Mass base. Given the all clear by the weather folks I made a little pilgrimage to Pudsey today to visit the Recon show hosting the HOTT tournament, traders and games. First thing to say is that this is a small but perfectly formed show – two main areas with a couple of side rooms for the HOTT games and the Bring & Buy / traders who did not fit down stairs.

Buggy = no paint

Posted on November 6th, 2011 under Posted by

Just to let you know I have a bug and every time I try to paint the smell kicks off a coughing fit so it will be a little longer before I get back in the swing of things.

Cargo containers

Posted on October 25th, 2011 under , , , . Posted by

I had some spare time today (despite running around after the kids – so much for a holiday) and decided to put aside the 6mm bits for a day (still cannot get the figures as I want them) and paint up some of the containers I have in store: Given tha…

Internet Woes

Posted on October 24th, 2011 under Posted by

I am having a little problem with TalkTalk and moving ISP because of this – no internet for four days except for Blackberry – do you know how hard it is to get this post on?

First colour on the ice board

Posted on October 16th, 2011 under , , , . Posted by

Technically the second with white being the first… While waiting for the white to dry I’ve started to add the water colour in the gap.  Once dry, I will lighten the colour up for the edges and dry brush with white before adding the crackle gunk on…

7TV–A Local day out

Posted on October 15th, 2011 under , , , , . Posted by

I was lucky enough to go to the 7TV Campaign Day run by Crooked Dice and Ainsty Castings today that was held only a D6 thrown from the Lincolnshire home of resin in the Moot Hall of Holton Le Moor just 20 mins country drive from home. Though not my gen…
