Siódmy wnuczek dziadzia Nurgla | Nurgle’s seventh grandson

Posted on September 7th, 2017 under , , , , , , , . Posted by

Szkoda, bo w innych zajęło mi to sporo czasu, a tu taki zonk.

Seventh plaguebearer was painted in numerous very short sessions – one minute here, five minutes three hours later, then again ten minutes well after midnight – I didn’t have time to paint properly. Still, I hope it is consistent with other demons and blends in into the whole unit – with a little help of bloody ass of course;)

I noticed while painting, that I forgot to fill a gap between a belly and a back. It’s a pity, as filling and smoothing over all joints took a long time on all other miniatures… Fortunately it is not that visible on the table.

And this is the last ‘ordinary’ plaguebearer, only command group to paint remains. Work goes slowly but I hope to paint all of them till next Monday.

Finished! Lord of Contagion

Man I love the new Death Guard models. Every time I paint some Nurgle goodness I’m entertaining the idea of an army. This time around was no exception, coupled with the onset of a new edition I was thinking about it double. But who has the time? I do, …

WIP: Lord of Contagion

Amidst the commissions sometimes I have to do a out of sync painting to keep the mojo flowing. Inspired by the Nurgle models painted during the class I held in Minneapolis and still having some figures left, I started slapping some paint around. This w…

Umiłowany papy Nurgla | Papa Nurgle’s beloved

When the new edition of WH40K has been launched, I decided to paint some more miniatures for this game. This time not for my Black Legion – at least not directly this legion – but Nurgle’s followers. I assembled most Chaos miniatures from the new starter set, but – for the beginning – I will paint some demons.

Painting was described in earlier note – in short, miniature was painted with thin paints of different colors, freely mixin both on the palette and miniature. After this layer was dry, it was time to tidy everything up and paint some details.

Nurgle Rhino APC [Completed]

Posted on August 10th, 2017 under , , . Posted by

During this long and fairly arduous weathering project, what essentially kept me going was that it afforded me the chance to expand my painting/modelling skill set. Sadly, it has been a while since I felt any enthusiasm painting W40K stuff. On the brig…

Nurgle Rhino [WIP – Acrylic glazes and a searchlight]

Posted on August 2nd, 2017 under , , , . Posted by

Despite the weathered rust effects, the Nurgle Rhino still looked relatively flat overall. So to break up the monotone grey green hue of the chaos transport vehicle, I lightly layered on some blue green acrylic glazes on selected areas of the hull. I h…

Nurgle Rhino [WIP – Rust Streaks, Stains & Pools]

Posted on July 29th, 2017 under , , . Posted by

This Nurgle Rhino project is starting to drag on a bit (… ya think?). So to move things along at a faster pace, I intend to double the amount of posts per week which in turn should result in more weathering completed in the same space of time. That’s…

Nurgle Rhino [WIP – Weathering Metals, Part 2]

Posted on July 19th, 2017 under , , . Posted by

As how sometimes things pan out in this hobby, the way the Nurgle Rhino Dozer/Destroyer blades were eventually painted is far removed from how I initially envisioned them to be. At first, I had primed the blades with a smooth almost glossy black primer…

This was the third time he had set out to conquer this god-forsaken sector. The first alongside Terrans and Barbarans, uniting all in their path. The second alongside Mutants and Plaguebearers, corrupting all in their path. The third, alongside strange…
