Tech-Priest Enginseer Completed

This is my second Tech-Priest Enginseer completed! After the one I had performed so well against Knights & Ad Mech the other day – it made sense to get my second one painted up and completed. I also just bought a third – so now I am fully tooled up on Tech-Priests. Never miss an article? Subscribe! The Tech-Priest in that game healed about 9 wounds throughout the game. Which is a fair amount, that is like having a Leman Russ with 21 wounds to take done. A Malcador of sorts. Having another one is really going to help the […] The post Tech-Priest Enginseer Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

7 Ratlings Completed

More Ratlings now completed! I now have 17 of these little guys done! Never miss an article? Subscribe! The 17 Ratlings don’t amount to many wounds against most targets. A Toughness 4 target with a 3+ Save will take 2 Wounds and a single Mortal Wound on average. That’s three Wounds in total from 17 shots. It’s not great but I just love these little guys. Getting to 30 would be enough I think. Three squads of ten. That’s also the limit when using The Rule of Three. I get most of mine from eBay. Although I just happened upon […] The post 7 Ratlings Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Cadian Armour Photoshoot

After completing all my Leman Russ I decided to take out all my Cadian Armour and photo them all. So this isn’t much of an article, just a photo dump! Never miss an article? Subscribe! I have; 7 Leman Russ 2 Basilisks 2 Wyverns 4 Chimeras A Malcador Defender This is about 1,900 points at their base value. Not sure I will ever get to field them all in one go as Apocalypse doesn’t float my boat. And left to paint for my Cadians that’s a Vehicle I have; A Taurox 3 Sentinels A Baneblade A Valkyrie A Vulture A […] The post Cadian Armour Photoshoot appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Cadian Leman Russ – All Seven – Completed

I’ve completed seven Cadian Leman Russ, I have completed seven Cadian Leman Russ. I wrote it twice so it sinks in for me. This feels like a big deal! Never miss an article? Subscribe! The Leman Russ is the go-to tank for the Astra Militarum and the fact it’s taken me five years to paint my first one should be enough to warrant a visit from a Commissar. But I hope I’ve redeemed myself somewhat by doing all my Leman Russ in one single batch. I’ve had these models for a long time. At least three years and I’ve never […] The post Cadian Leman Russ – All Seven – Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Command Chimera Completed

Everyone knows that for every seven Leman Russ a Forgeworld provides your regiment gets a free Command Chimera. And the Forgeworld supplying me is no different. Never miss an article? Subscribe!   During my painting of 7 Leman Russ, I found a Chimera! I have three painted and ready to go for Cadia at present. So this makes four. I decided to make it slightly different from my other Chimeras and I gave it Command Chimera look. With extras radios, antenna, a Commander on top, a radar dish protruding from a missing Lasgun Array hole. Plus optional Heavy Stubber and […] The post Command Chimera Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Tech-Priest Completed

I’ve completed my first Tech-Priest. He’s ready to start repairing my artillery and smashing heads with his axe. Never miss an article? Subscribe! This is the third model I’ve done with a red cloak. Yeah for red! The next cloak I do won’t be red because I think I’ve taken red as far as I can. Tech-Priest Gallery I’ve used the same technique three times now. The second was a lot better than the first. And the third wasn’t necessarily better than the second, it’s just different. First was Psymon The second was the Priest And third, was this Tech-Priest […] The post Tech-Priest Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Valhallan Missile Launchers Completed

My Valhallan Missile Launchers are Done! Yeah! In the grand scheme of things, this isn’t a massive amount of work. It’s six guys out of 60. But that’s still a 10% leap in the right direction. Never miss an article? Subscribe! With these six done, my initial ten and a single Plasma guy I’m now 28.3% done on my Valhallan Infantry. The bases took more time than the actual infantry models. I’m happy with the results and I tried another new technique! This time it was a rusted/corroded metal plate. It was good practice for my Valhallan vehicles that will […] The post Valhallan Missile Launchers Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Painting Hellhounds – Catachan – Completed

My Hellhounds are done! All three, no less! As for painting Hellhounds, this is how it went… I am no pro, but I hope that this process helps or inspires someone else to slap some paint onto their tanks! Never miss an article? Subscribe! Base Camouflage – Painting Hellhounds I already have my Cadia Camo down to a T with the airbrush. I wanted something different for my Catachans to set them apart. I went for Castallen Green, then Loren Forest with XV-88 areas/stripes. My Cadians are Castallen Green and Zandri Dust. The Loren Forest is lighter and the XV-88 is […] The post Painting Hellhounds – Catachan – Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Psymon the Psyker Completed

He is finally done! My first Primaris Psyker is completed. He is called Psymon. All think “Hi Psymon!” From start to finish he took me exactly 2 weeks. While that won’t win any awards – I’m happy with that. At that rate, I could do 26 Primaris Psykers per year. I won’t. :-) Never miss an article? Subscribe! Since my last post about his cloak and wet blending, I added some orange and white highlights to the cloak. This has helped a lot with the contrast and I think it looks better for it. I also completed all the details as […] The post Psymon the Psyker Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Cyclops Demolition Vehicles Completed

I’m on a roll! Autocannons have been done and now my three Catachan Cyclops Demolition Vehicles are complete too! This is the first part of my Catachan force done. What is pretty awesome about this is that the Cyclops is a Heavy Support choice and three make a Spearhead Detachment – plus a single HQ, which could be a Psyker. Come to think of it, a great HQ to bring with these would be a Catachan Tank Commander with a Demolition Cannon! Someday maybe. Brutal Strength would all him to re-roll the number of shots on the Cannon. And with […] The post Cyclops Demolition Vehicles Completed appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.
