28mm H.E.A.T. Viper

While many Cobra soldiers might not be able to share the skill level of one G.I. Joe specialist, many of them make up for their deficiency by incorporating some form of stealth technology to supplement their function in the battlefield. The H.E.A.T. Viper is one such Cobra. His rocket launcher is incorporated with heat suppression technology which allows him to escape infrared detection. His helmet is linked to a sophisticated targeting system that essentially takes care of locking on to the target, estimating range and trajectory and image intensification. Some MOBAT huntingOne down!Moving to next target.Better make sure you got the crew next time!Drop that rocket launcher!More to come,Doc

Terror at the Top of the World! 28mm Pulp 80's Survival Horror game

October is great time for some Table Top Horror themed games to be run and what better genre than in the Pulp 1980s.This scenario is a mash up of sorts, combining a Horror movie with the 80's action stars of GI JOE and I think it works, especially giving a little nod to Cobra-La and it's Bio Horrors that have existed before man, hidden in the ice...The game begins with the players at the end of the table, there aircraft downed by a firefight above.  In front of them lays an abandoned Cobra facility, or is it?The Factions, Joe and Cobra are on opposite sides but both must commandeer a vehicle on the other end of the table to escape. Each player gets 2 Characters, no Ninjas.  Below is the list I usedJoesCobraAce and SnowjobDestro and The BaronessWild Bill and IcebergKwinn and Dr. MindbenderLift Ticket and LifelineTomax and XamotScarlett and RoadblockCrystal Ball and Wild WeaselObjectivesSecure an operational vehicle and escape off a table edge.Victory PointsEach Character Escaped = 5 VPEach Discovery M

28mm Dredknok Ground Assault

There were a lot of cool repalletted GI Joe toys in the late 80s and the Sears exclusive Dredknok Ground Assault was one of the best sets.I’ve recreated the set with some embellishments and was kindly gifted a 28mm Stinger from Bradford of the Cast Dice Podcast and couldn’t think of a better use for it.I added running boards to the Stinger and the grill guard from the Joe Awe Striker. Wanted to beef it up a little as I don’t see Dredknoks as “stock” kind of guys.Torch on the back is a resin print from a Heroforge print that I doctored in Tinkercad. Trucknuts were hand sculpted from green stuff.Ripper is also a modded Heroforge print.I always pictured Dredknoks as the orcs of the GI Joe universe Another view.Ready to run down some Joes- for the right priceBuzzer is on a captured Joe RAMWhat’s cooler than a chainsaw on a Gatling armed cycle?!Ready to chop and runThe old Zaranna viewReady to fireFamily shot with the ThundermachineLot of Mad Max right thereMore to come,Doc

Tomahawk Down! 28mm Lift Ticket and Alpine

One thing that occurs during the 3D printing process is the inevitable misprint. James Renteria of Contact Front Games on Etsy was kind enough to give me the misprint of a Tomahawk model for free which I then used for wreckage.Lift Ticket evacs the crashed Tomahawk. Lift Ticket is converted from Empress Modern dismounted US forces using Reginald T Stumblecocks formula.I hope they don’t charge me for this!Alpine you okay?!Yeah man, it’s going to be a long climb down!Alpine is another Reg conversion using an Infinity model base with a Crooked Dice mini head and a pick I had in my bits bin.I used green stuff instead of blue sculptors tape to make the goggles.More to come,Doc
