28mm GiJoe

28mm GIJoe HAVOC

1986 brought many strange things to the Joe team and one was the H.A.V.O.CThe H.A.V.O.C. (Heavy Articulated Vehicle Ordnance Carrier) is one of the toughest vehicles in the Joes' arsenal. It is a curious sight. With an impact-resistant, tilt-back canopy and a 2-person prone-position cockpit that take up the whole front cabin, it is surprising that it is actually one of the better armored vehicles and can withstand a lot of punishment. Nevertheless, it is best suited to short, heavy fire campaigns. The H.A.V.O.C. is a well armed vehicle. Its main weapons are the dual "Leveler" 75mm cannons located at the sides of the hydraulic mid-gunnery post. The cannons are recoilless, allowing them to keep moving and firing without missing a beat. A pair of nose guns and a pair of "Repeater" auto-load 9mm machine guns at the rear supplement the H.A.V.O.C.'s firepower. Should the H.A.V.O.C. find itself being chased about, it has 4 "Lancer" bi-pulse anti-armor heat-seeking missiles which can be fired from the rear. Fully arme

Terror at the Top of the World! 28mm Pulp 80's Survival Horror game

October is great time for some Table Top Horror themed games to be run and what better genre than in the Pulp 1980s.This scenario is a mash up of sorts, combining a Horror movie with the 80's action stars of GI JOE and I think it works, especially giving a little nod to Cobra-La and it's Bio Horrors that have existed before man, hidden in the ice...The game begins with the players at the end of the table, there aircraft downed by a firefight above.  In front of them lays an abandoned Cobra facility, or is it?The Factions, Joe and Cobra are on opposite sides but both must commandeer a vehicle on the other end of the table to escape. Each player gets 2 Characters, no Ninjas.  Below is the list I usedJoesCobraAce and SnowjobDestro and The BaronessWild Bill and IcebergKwinn and Dr. MindbenderLift Ticket and LifelineTomax and XamotScarlett and RoadblockCrystal Ball and Wild WeaselObjectivesSecure an operational vehicle and escape off a table edge.Victory PointsEach Character Escaped = 5 VPEach Discovery M

28mm GIJOE Patriot Grizzly MBT

GI Joe always had some very interested my armored vehicles but the tanks that the toy makers produced were modeled after light, air droppable tanks.  The MOBAT and Mauler were at best Sheridans and I wanted a proper MBT for the Joes.Up steps the Patriot Grizzly. This tank was a later toy first produced in the Joes Spy Troops line, and modeled to look more like an actual real world tank than a scifi creation. I sculpted an homage to it in Tinkercad and had a print made for an upcoming showdown in Benzheen game.Shown here in downtown Benzheen.Heavy Metal is commanding the tank, I don’t believe it care with a designated Joe like the earlier vehicles did.Dusty checks in with Heavy MetalA pintle 50 cal and 4 shot ATGM adorn the turret deckAlso are twin 50 cal turrets used to clear the deck from close assaults and provide additional firepower.Plenty of room for stowage on the back. Most of these are from SASM miniatures.Another view of the back deck and stowage.Heading in to townGrunt shows up a desert pattern

175mm of screaming death, The Slugger

Added some pong range support to my Pulp 1980s project.  The Slugger is a self-propelled 175mm artillery piece, based on the US M107 175mm self propelled howitzer. The Slugger's maximum range is 35 miles. It has a .30 caliber machine gun for self defense. It weighs 29 tons and has a maximum road speed of 40 miles per hour. The G.I. Joe Slugger was a straight cut power house piece of modern artillery that never really had a place in the G.I. Joe universe. The Large Barrel and the brace scoop in the back screamed explosive potential exceeding that of anything built in its time. Thunder was the perfect match for the equipment he piloted. The darkened visor and large muffler headset proclaimed the volume of which the Slugger poured out its wrath upon the enemy. Together they would live in obscurity hanging out in the motor pool waiting on that perfect mission that would allow them to unleash their bottled up destruction and divided they would fall, the slugger forgotten and Thunder hailed as a Real Amer
