Masters of Power, 28mm MOTU game

A few friends came over tocelebrate the great birth of our nation with grilled food and a test run of the Masters of Power game I’ve been working on for 1980s MOTU gaming. The forces are Anti-Eternians vs Skeletor’s Evil Warriors, bad on bad action. The scenario is that two portals are opened and that the two forces arrive to secure the Sage Dragon for their own diabolical designs.A player must be in base to base contact with the dragon and pass a hard Power Check to get the dragon to move with the character back to their portal. The overall tableAnother view.An abandoned Attack TrakDeadly lava flowsThe Sage DragonThe Anti-Eternian PortalThe Anti-Eternians arriveMoving forwardSkeletor’s ForceSkelebots forwardTheir quick movement gets them ahead of the opposing force But are gunned down by blasters and sorceryOnly a single bot of the force remains, but FallenSkeletor advances and uses his Sorcery ability to cast arcane boltsMore fire exchangedSkeletor advancesReinforcements! On both sides!Stratos and the Sorc

A side project I’ve been adding to here and there, having just cleared the table from a game night, I decided to get the MOTU stuff out and see what I can do for a future game. The mat is custom painted fleece that I created and then printed through Walmart. Total price was $45.Two of the Rotons I sculpted in Tinkercad and had printed in PLA. These files are available on my Thingverse page if you want to give them a go. Various scenery bits, some that I’ve bought off Etsy or  at conventions.A Destructo tank, utilized by Hordak’s forces along with some Crossbows and Catapults pieces for scenery. The lava flows are textured craft paper painted as lava. Many of the miniatures you see here are small commission runs done by various enthusiasts.Quest Miniatures do some excellent versions of the characters. The bases are from Dragonforge studios Cracked Earth range, EXCELLENT.This Orko is a magician from Heresy MiniaturesAnother view of the Rotons. 28mm Monstroid in the Palace!

I sculpted an homage to Monstroid, a toy from the She Ra universe that was employed by Hordak, for tabletop gaming.  I used Tinkercad and have it available on Thingverse for downloading. The Monstroid is a robotic crab-like creature that works for the Evil Horde. Despite his robotic nature, he is shown in media as a living creature or species that must be summoned by the Horde and that he has no real allegiance to them.Shadow Weaver opens a portal to the Palace on Eternia for Hordaks Attack!Forward Monstroid! The Monstroid I made is printed in PLA Duncan and Teela arrive to defend the Palace!Watch out for those arms! It’s too powerful! We’ll have to divide it’s attacks!I can take it Father!Teela no!Agh!Forward!FORWARD!More to come,Doc

Fart Jokes Incoming, 28mm Stinkor

I’ve added another addition to Skeletors Evil Warriors, the notorious Stinkor! He never appeared in the original cartoon series but was present in the comics and the later tv series. I think he was one of the last figures I received as a kid.
