Taking place after the second season, and before the recently started third one (at last), me and Noshi sat down to watch this very fun harem anime's latest instalment.Though I am convinced she wants to adopt Yoshino in the meantime...One day, Shido and the girls are enjoying Miku's latest concert, but on the train home he notices a strange blonde girl. When morning comes, he sees a large orb over the city, but apparently he is the only one able to.Investigations learn that this is an orb made of the jealousy energy of the spirits upon each other, as they all are in love with him. To break up the orb as such, he must go on individual dates with all of the girls, but he keeps seeing the blonde girl everywhere. She turns out to be a creation of the orb to see if he is worthy of storing the spirit energies, and as such is in love with him as well. Her jealousy however causes her angel to go berserk and they must all stand together to defeat him...An enjoyable movie, with a dramatic finale albeit not a
The first of the OVA's of this hilarious superhero shows, this takes a look at Saitama in his early days of heroing. In the same comical style as the main series, it is getting used to to see Saitama before he got his iconic look though.During his first year of training, Saitama (who still has hair, and is wearing a blue track suit) has defeated numerous villains in the abandoned area in Z-City but is still having problems with paying the rent, we know this because the landlady says he's 3 months overdue on his rent, Saitama speaks with a shop owner who is being forced to surrender his store's deed by a local gang, several other shops have gone out of business, a conversation between the gang boss and one of his stooges reveal that the boss has been buying out all the stores in the area to destroy them, and the store owner's store is the last one left, hearing this Saitama gives counsel to the clothes-shop owner telling him to not give up, then we find out that the gang's base is part of Saita
Okay, I`m late to the party, I admit...Between when I started watching this series, and finally finished it last week, about 1.5 years have passed. For no other reason then just nt coming around to finish these 3 final episodes. Not because I didn`t like the series, au contraire, I love this series as it's great fun, but just, well, forgetting to.So Saitama... a cult figure in the meantime, and a second season underway. He was a normal employee suddenly attacked by a monster, and he defeated it at great effort. He then decided to become a hero by training hard, and became SO strong that he defeats opponents with a single punch. This results in Genos, a cyborg, joining him to learn how to become so powerful, as Saitama defeats monster after monster, albeit reluctantly as he looks for a fair fight. Together with genos he enregisters with the Superhero hq... and is ranked in the lowest class as he flunks tests on purpose. because he isn`t in it for the fame or the responsibility, he h
The closing OVA of the second season, released back in december 2014, touched a bit of a nerve here. And with that, I mean it positive, as it was hard, very hard, to keep dry with the intense emotions of the OVA.On the day of the Tanabata festival, Shidou Itsuka happens to meet the eerie Kurumi Tokisaki, who proceeds to ask him out on a date. Although nervous, Shidou accepts the offer. The two spend their time visiting to a planetarium, buying food at the festival, and trying out a mock wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, Shirou's friends—Tooka Yatogami, Yoshino, and Kotori Itsuka—are looking for him, while also enjoying the festival themselves. As Shidou spends the day with Kurumi, he begins to notice an unexpected softer side of her. He knows that Kurumi is infamously called the "Worst Spirit," but the girl standing before him is a gentle soul. However, as the day draws to a close, Shirou finally begins to understand the truth behind it all.Yeah, I didn't cry. But I had a very, very hard time not to
Following the events of the first Patlabor movie, after a terrorist attack on a bridge in Tokyo, the whole country of Japan is in an uproar. The Japanese government suspects an attempt by the Americans to destabilize them, but in reality has no idea who is behind the attack. The only clues they have is of a secret organization called the National Defense Family, and the destruction of a United Nations Labor Unit. With time running out, the government calls upon Captain Goto and the Police Labor Force Division 2 to fill in the missing pieces...Haven't seen this one yet.......but will soon!
While it aired back in 2014, Noshi and me completed this series right on time... because past friday, season 3 went live.I really liked the first season for it's lightheartedness, and while it has all the tropes of a regular harem anime, they make it kind of unique.Shido Itsuka, who used to be a normal high school student at Raizen High, meets the first Spirit, Tohka, and awakens his power to "seal the Spirit's power". Though they may be feared and hated beings due to their immense power, Spirits were always alone and knew only combat and death. Shido, the only one in the world with the power to seal the Spirits' might, hurls himself into life-threatening dates with the beautiful Spirits in order to save them. This season, Shido is faced with of course trying to stop more Spirits, but his encounter with Miku actually makes him loose a few of them. However, the powers moving behind the scenes make their move at that moment to kidnap Tokha, and as Shido sets out to save her, he gains some very unlike
Noshi and me just finished the third season of this highly enjoyable superheroes anime, bringing us to the ready point for season 4 that will appear during 2019.Now, I really dig this series, it's an enjoyable, funny watch, and Bakugo is just to cool for words. In this 25 episode series, two main arcs are being played out. During the first, the League of Villains attack the students during a lodge trip, the fall out resulting in All Might facing his nemesis, and using up the last of the One for All power in the process. This means he now passes the mantle of Symbol of Peace to his successor, Midoriya. In the second arc, the students of UA have to face other schools in an exam to get their provisional licenses, as more heroes are required to fill the gap All Might has left. But the League is secretly infiltrating these tests to see what the hero community is up to...As I said at the start, a truly fun series to watch, and this was a great season... though Noshi prohibited me of building a Tiger
A lovely chibi Gundam kit I won a while back ago, through a Facebook contest, I now look inside the box with this little video.A super cute model, I`m still thinking wether to build it in dragon, or knight modus. But you can bet I`ll have fun with this awesome set!
Zombie time in this second OVA of Boku no Hero, in this second season story.Story about a joint practice session between Izuku's class and Isami High students at Yuuei Academy, takes place after the field training arc in the second season.Because in this tale, not only does class 1-A has to face each other in teams for a survival excersice, but also one from a rival school, where Tsu her best friend Mongoose is a student. But the class also has a fiery character, and in his rivalry with Bakugo he unleashes his quirk: a gas that transforms others into invunerable zombies...Me and Noshi really laughed our hearts out in this one to be honest, and Bakugo remains such a great character teeheehee...
The first OVA of this highly enjoyable series, it takes place shortly after the finale of the first season.Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! (救え!救助訓練!) was screened at Jump Festa 2016 on November 27, 2016. The OVA was later bundled with the 13th volume of the manga, released April 4, 2017UA High School must regain the public's confidence after the surprise villain attack during class 1-A's training session. Although some of the teachers were gravely injured in the attack, Izuku "Deku" Midoriya and his classmates must continue to learn and train, and utilize their quirks in varying environments and circumstances. Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! follows class 1-A as they attempt to finally complete their training. However, there's a masked figure roaming around the training center. Have the villains responsible for the previous incident returned to finish the job? If so, are the students ready to fight back?Great fun, especially how they take out the villain of the story, and
Now streaming on Netflix, it was time for me to enjoy another mecha anime, after the rather bland series I was watching lately. That`s what you get with ten random series of course, no idea how they would turn out...So here we have a 26 episode mecha anime featuring a time-displaced samurai battling in a Black Relic aka the mech versus an invasion of planet subjugating aliens... yeah, that sounds right up my alley.About 450 years prior to the present, an extraterrestrial force called Efy Dolgh invades Earth; the people of Sengoku era Japan dub their mecha and robotic drones as oni. The Washiba Clan falls victim to them, but clan heir Yukihime and her samurai retainer Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma fight back with a stolen Efy Dolgh mecha, which they dub the "Black Relic" (黒骸 Kuromukuro). They succeed in vanquishing their foes, but when the Black Relic is caught in an enemy explosion, Yukihime disappears. Then, 60 years ago, the Black Relic is unearthed during the construction of the Kurobe Dam. In the present day,
A personal favorite of Noshi, I benched the first season a while ago to have a go with her at s2, which she had already seen halfway. And while I thought the first one to be "okay", I quite liked the second one.And that second half themesong is just awesome btw...This season encompasses three big arcs in it's storyline, being at first a yearly sports tournament where the students have to overcome various hindrances, and each other. In the second arc, they are all on internship with pro-heroes, and while Midoriya learns how to control the One for All, Iida faces against Stain, the notorious hero killer. The final arc of the season takes the final exams of the class in, as the students get paired to face off against one of their teachers, being forced to overcome their weaknesses. It was as I started with a very joy to watch, and Midoriya is, to quote Noshi, "such an adorable character".Now onwards to the next season, because this stuff if surely better then the overload of Marvel and DC we have been facing the pas
