BMG: Counter Attack Bases 'Gaming Tokens'

Last year I came across another blog that was talking about Gaming Tokens for Batman Miniature Game from a UK company called Counter Attack Bases, then early last week I stumbled across the site once more after my son and I played a few games of BMG.  I thought the tokens that they offered would be great for the game, and they are different than the ones we ordered from MuseOn Minis. The tokens from Counter Attack Bases were more crew based, plus they also had tokens for Objectives, Sewers, and Lamp Posts.  When we play at home we will use my son's 3D Objectives, but when heading out to a tournament, it is nice to have them all in one token tray.So last Tuesday I placed a fairly large order with them, and I was shocked this afternoon when the package arrived on my door step, usually shipping from the UK takes two weeks.Right away I opened my package and got to sorting the tokens (my son took his tray of Muse tokens with him on vacation, so his will have to wait till he gets back).I still need to purc

BMG: High Security Henchman

One of my recent purchases for Batman Miniature Game has been the "Blackgate Prisoners Set" and once I finished with 'Deathstroke' the other day,  I started on these four models and got them completed last night.  First up for today is the 'High Security Henchman'. High Security HenchmanHigh Security HenchmanPainting Points: 1

BMG: Deathstroke

I received some more Batman Miniature Game models in on Saturday and one of the models was 'Deathstroke', A Free Agent who can work for all of the Villains.  I thought he would be a nice add-on for any of the Villain crews that I am working. On Sunday afternoon I decided to glue up 'Deathstroke' (along with a few other models) and then yesterday I quickly painted him up.My son is out of town for a week, and then I will be off to Spring Fling, so not really sure when our next game of BMG will be happening. DeathstrokeDeathstrokePainting Points: 1

Battle Report: BMG 4/14/2019 (Batman vs Grodd)

Yesterday my son and I got in another game of Batman Miniature Game, and this time we used the full 350/$1500 point values.  Seeing how my Central City Villains are now completed, I played with those 5 models: 'Grodd', 'King Shark', 'Gorilla Shaman', 'Gorilla Soldier 1' and 'Gorilla Soldier 2'.  My son was playing his newest Jim Lee 'Batman', 'Nightwing' and mix of 'Swat' and 'Arkham Guards'.It took us awhile to actually get the game going, setup and I wanted to look over all the rules on my 5 cards since I have never played them before, but once we got the game going, we took our time were finished in about 3 hours (I was looking up a lot of rules). We decided to randomly roll for a scenario from the Batmatch tournament rules, and we rolled 8, TWO FRONTS.I am not recalling everything that happened in the game, but in the final round 'King Shark' was able to Knock Out 'Batman' and then 'Grodd' followed through and got the casualty, the rest of my Gorilla's went and secured Objectives.  Grodd cre

Weekly Chronicle 2019 #15

With how busy my "real work" was last week, it was actually a pretty decent week for me on the hobby front.I did not play any games during the week (just wanted to relax after longer days at work), but I did manage to paint all 5 models for my Central City Villains and then I was able to play 3 games over the weekend. This past Saturday were games of Guild Ball and Aristeia! and then yesterday my son and I got in a game of Batman with a full 350 points (report coming later today). So I would say the week was really good.Unfortunately some bad news is that I am STILL waiting for my Cook's minor Guild to arrive for Guild Ball, this is ridiculous how long they are sitting at Customs, I should have picked them up at AdeptiCon and then cancelled my web pre-order, but I did not want to do that to Discount Games.  I was hoping to have 'Cinnamon' to use for Spring Fling in a few weeks, but that those not look like it is going to happen. It looks like this week/weekend I may be painting up some more Batman Min

BMG: Gorilla Soldier 1

Now that 'King Shark' and 'Gorilla Shaman' are completed for my Central City Villains, it is actually time to move onto the models from my "Gorilla Grodd Crew".Up first (with the number 1 in his name) is 'Gorilla Soldier 1', he is actually the only model I have on this crew with a Range weapon, but his Ammo is only 1, looks like I will be searching out some crates to reload.  His Spear also comes with Reach which is nice since he can attack from up to 2" away. Gorilla Soldier 1 Gorilla Soldier 2Painting Points: 2

BMG: Muse on Minis 'Mean Street Tokens'

A year ago I had purchased some new tokens for Batman Miniature Game from Muse on Minis (only 1 set), and this past Monday I decided to order a second set so my son and I can each have their own.Muse on Minis has them labeled as "Mean Streets" in their store (probably for licensing reasons), but they are for the Batman Miniature Game.  The tokens that I ordered were: 2 sided Blood/Stunned, 2 sided Knock Out/Knock Down, and 2 sided Ammo/Titan Dose.I want to give a huge shout out to them for their quick shipping.  As stated above, I placed my order on Monday, and yesterday afternoon (2 days) my package arrived.  With this order I also added another set of movement sticks so we are not stealing any from Guild Ball.

BMG: King Shark (TV Show)

Well work started on my Central City Villains that arrived Monday afternoon.  Right away that evening I went to work assembling all the models, and then yesterday I started and completed 'King Shark'.I enjoy working on larger models and I can usually get them pretty quick.  I am no expert painter, but I paint to a table top quality and I feel King Shark meets that for me (now that I really look at the pictures, I do need to do better work on cleaning up the mold lines, my eyes are deceiving me, I should probably take a photo before I start to prime my models and look for mold lines that stand out).In all honesty, I am not exactly sure what 'King Shark' can do, I thought the model looked cool, I know he was just on the Flash TV show with 'Grodd', so I thought it would be cool to run the two of them together. Now it is time to start working on the gorilla's. King Shark (TV Show) King Shark (TV Show)Painting Points: 5

BMG: Central City Villains Arrive (Grodd Crew, Shaman, King Shark)

Last Sunday I placed an order with Miniature Market for a new 'Grodd Crew', 'Shaman', and a 'King Shark' and finally yesterday afternoon my package arrived (after sitting at a USPS for three days before it moved again).  Miniature Market uses UPS Innovations and it just takes forever to receive a package.Anyways, I now have the start of a Central City Villains list that I may be playing at MuseOn Con this May.  I still prefer 'Green Arrow' as my Leader, so it will be a tough decision, I just do not think we have enough cheap Henchmen to go with a 'Green Arrow' list, I may have to see what models my son has.  If I decide to do a Team Arrow list (from the new Teams section) there are no Henchmen is the list, just name characters, so the points add up pretty quickly and it will be tough to even get 3 characters in the list at 250 Rep (I will not be playing in the 350 Rep event).I plan to start painting these guys this week so hopefully over the next week or two you will see them completed here.
