The Devil is a Part-Timer

Aired back in 2013, The Devil is a Part-Timer is based on a light novel of the same name, and is just an hilarious series.Because, if you where Satan, defeated and forced to flee to modern day Nippon, how would you rebuild your magic and status?  Of course, by starting to work at McRonald's and try to dominate the world from there...This results however in him creating friendship bonds, first and foremost with co-worker Chiho, but also with his sworn enemy who followed him here, the Hero of Ente Isla, Emi.  She just can't wrap her head around the fact that Satan is actually enjoying his time and tries to help people where he can, even going to public clean-ups.As they constantly confront and control each other, well, mostly Emi on Maou though, are being attacked by a few entities during their adventure and exploration together, but this only results in her getting more and more confused about the fact that the devil might not even have a plan at all, nor any ambition on returning to his home dimensi

Mr Popper's Penguins

Recently, me and Noshi watched this comedy from 2011 on a local television channel.Featuring Jim Carrey, perhaps the true stars of this movie are, well, the penguins.Thomas Popper is a divorced real estate entrepreneur whose father traveled around the world during his childhood in the 1970s. He learns that his father has died during an adventure to Antarctica. The following week, a crate containing a gentoo penguin, named Captain, shows up at his door as a souvenir from his father’s last adventure.A few days later, five more penguins arrive. Popper intends to give them away but changes his idea when his children, Janie and Billy, think that the animals are Billy's birthday present. At work, Popper is given the task of buying Tavern on the Green, the only privately owned real estate in Central Park that is an old restaurant where he used to eat with his father when he was a child. However, its elderly owner, Selma Van Gundy, will only sell it to a person of true value. Popper has unsuccessful meetin

Disenchantment

"I'm drowning!" "I'm Elfo"...Yeap, that is perhaps the most hilarious line out of the newest Groenig creation, Disenchantment.PlotMade by the creator of the Simpsons, this series takes us back to the middle ages where princess Bean, who rather spends her days and nights in drunken stupor, is joined by a demon called Lucy and an exiled elf called Elfo.Together they set out to do all sorts ofmisschief, while the king, Zog, tries to unlock the mysteries of eternal life using Elfo's blood, in order to gain the one thing he really loves with all his essence. This leads to hilarious situations and wordplays, in the style of his other creations (Futurama, The Simpsons), like the above mentioned lines when a lady is sinking in a stolen carriage. What I liked about it* the wordplays and jokes, especially involving naive ElfoWhat I didn't like about it* It's not just "there" yet on the level of it's predecessors.Overall, this 10 episode series is great for a relaxing evening, and I'm curious how it will 'grow' into it's
