Dark Elves

Tale of Tuesdays: Stahly's Month 3 – Naggaroth Nightmares

My #taleoftuesdays journey has come to the finish line: Here is my completed Dark Elves team. Unlike my fellow coaches, I'm a cheat and didn't paint a complete Blood Bowl team, but a six model team for the board game version Blitz Bowl instead. Nevertheless, I spent more time on them than I thought, but I'm quite pleased with the result. Check out more pictures after the jump – and help my find a team name in comments!More after the jump

WIP: Blood/Blitz Bowl Naggaroth Nightmares

Working on finishing my Blitz Bowl Dark Elves team for our #taleoftuesdays project. The lineman on the left is almost complete, while the runner and Witch Elf need some more effort. Hope to finish this team in time! Share your thoughts on my progress in the comments section and read on if you want to find out how to join #taleoftuesdays for a chance to win a plastic Blood Bowl team box!More after the jump

Tale of Tuesdays: Stahly's Month 1 - Naggaroth Nightmares WIP

Now it's my turn at Tale of Tuesdays. As you can see, as a lover for anything with pointy ears, my team of choice are Dark Elves, and I painted a test model already. I might change a couple of minor things, but in general, I'm happy with the paint scheme I came up with. My main sources for inspiration were the 'Eavy Metal Kabal of the Black Heart Drukhari army for the armour, cr0wmaster's Dark Elves from whom I nicked the turquoise undersuits, and the Idoneth Deepkin range in general. I wanted to go for a kind of nautic feel. Now, I must admit that I'm a bit of a cheat. As I don't play Blood Bowl but only the board game version Blitz Bowl, I'm not gonna paint a complete team. Blitz Bowl requires only six models, so I'm gonna paint half a team in half the time, then lean back and watch the others finish their teams. Sorry not sorry guys... ;)

Warmaster Commission Part 2

The second Warmaster army, Dark Elves.  Now I'm not a big Elf fan, so far I do not have any in my 15mm collection, but these were quite nice so i will see what I can find for my 15mm.This was a nice army to paint, I went for a dark colour scheme of a 'traditional' black, red and purple pallet.Again these are Kallistra figures The army in all it's glory Ballistas, there are 8 of these war machines that will range death down at a distance The leaders, one on a Cold One athe rest on horses and foot Crossbows, the shooty death men! Knights, armoured men on big horses! The core of the army, spearmen.Speed freaks, chariots....
