Ciaran is back with his Genestealer Cult to face my Deathwatch in this 2k Matched Play game!
Back with my continues coverage of Adepticon 2019.Check out part 1 here where I talk about my first impressions of A Song of Ice and Fire game, Horus Heresy Knight Fight, and the Kings of War Big Battle.I skipped my first game to sleep and paint that day. It was an ASoIF even, but only cost me $5, and I made the better decision considering how late I stayed up to finish for the 40k team event the next day.I did make it to my second game, which was ASoIF Assault on Kings Landing. What made this game extra fun was it was ran by the game's designer. He had a really cool mission put together where the 8 players (mostly Starks and Boltons) fought his Lannister Army. I was that little green blob of Wildlings led by Tomund Giantsbane. Not the most accurate thing, but awesome of him to let my do that when asked who my favourite character was when he realized he didn't have enough units set up for us. He also had a constant narrative progression happening. AND BRIBES. He'd bribe up with free models to do certain actio
The Armoured Fury of Farsight takes aim at an Imperial Planet and the Deathwatch race to stop them with the help of a Freeblade Knight!
An elite unit of the Empire! Deathwatch is a selection of Space Marines units – the best of the best, chosen from among all the Chapters. They are precision blades that are used for the most important and dangerous missions throughout the Galaxy. The Kill Team Cassius was sent to discover and explore the dark secrets of the planet Ghosar Quintus. There he fought against the monstrous Genestealer Cult – for those interested I refer to 40k Wikipedia. You will find there a lot of interesting information. The models themselves are absolutely exquisite – full of details, perfectly sculpted. One of my favourite sets from Games Workshop! I could paint it all round With little modelling skills, these models could be adapted as heroes/lieutenants to any army of Space Marines. Commission painting – firstname.lastname@example.org

The Death Guard have arrived on Fortis Binary! Their purposes unknown the Inquisition has tasked Kill Team Azazel with their termination from the streets of the fallen city.
When the new Kill Team game out, I was psyched to find the elements of role playing that was built into the game. Adding specialists provides a level of narration that also give you concrete benefits during the game. However, there is another layer of charts that allow you to add details like the reason your team was formed and the personalities of your main characters. These are unique to each army choice and there are also name generators to get you started if you don't know what a genestealer cultist might be called. Of course, you can do this in any game, but I feel like having Games Workshop add these elements in each army list encourages people to make use of the narrative element, especially newcomers to the hobby. After building my Kill Team from the Deathwatch list, I rolled randomly on the charts to give them more life beyond their stats and forge a narrative.Kill Team DoctrineThe Deathwatch are humanity's shield against xenos horrors. I decided to go with an all Primaris Kill Team because I re
