Showcase+Tactics: Blood Angels Deredeo Dreadnought

Just wanted to share one of my current FAVORITE UNITS. My Blood Angels Deredeo Dreadnought. Now you may be thinking "You play Blood Angels, why is this your favourite unit?" Well...1- Even an assault army needs some ranged weapons. And this guy is super reliable at that.2- I love dreadnoughts as much as I love assaultSome quick tactics talk with this guyDREADNOUGHT FORTSO I run mine equipped with the Atomantic Pavaise (I used a Magna Grapple I converted for my Contemptor back when they could still take one. This is because FW still has not released that upgrade). This gives a bubble of a 5+ invuln to units within 6".  So what do I do? I surround him with  TWIN AUTOCANNON MORTIS DREADNOUGHTS! This creates a rock solid fire base of High T and a good save (2+/5+ on the Deredeo, 3+/5+ on the Mortis) and a lot of wound (4 dreads castles up is 44 wounds).  And at a very reasonable points cost IMO.Now I could keep Characters near them to boost them, but if this is not possible, I just use my Wisdom of

Custodes Beta Rules Review: Part 1- The Elites

Over the next few days I will be breaking down the Adeptus Custodes Beta Rules for Warhammer 40k that were released last month. You can download them here (for free) if you haven't had the chance to check them out yet.Part One below will discuss the Elites Choices.Part Two will be about the Fast Attack. Have him deep strike with some terminators or land near some bikes, and your opponent will have a hard time what to prioritize if you fail to make the charge out of DS. But burning a CP on rerolls to ensure that charge is worth it, because the dreadspea

Last year I took my all Death Rider Army to the NOVA GT and Trios. This year I intended to do the Trios again, but due to team mate issues, I instead went to DC and did the tourist thing on the day of the trios. This is one of the untold bonuses of NOVA, you are practically in Washington, and taking an uber or the Metro to the museums/monuments is easily done and worth it if you are not from the area.  But after a day of site seeing I got to jump into the NOVA Narrative! Check out their mission pack here. Some really fun and cool missions you should try at home (especially Shuttle Crash and Refinery IMO).My 2500 point army. All my armies would be made from this!I had started this article a few days ago, but now I feel I must temper my enthusiasm before I launch into the review.Edit: I leave the following 2 paragraphs for completions sake, but I wa
