footsore

Fury of the North 23

So the figure is not a Norseman or Germanic Tribesman, nope he is a Briton or perhaps "the" Briton; Merlin. From Footsore Miniatures and to be honest a bugger to paint. Not because of the figure itself; the choice of colours picked just didn't sit well on the first run. The grey of the cloak had too much blue in it against the bone colour used. So, repainted the cloak in Foundry Granite B, a murky grey/green colour. The whole figure was then washed in Army Painter Strong Tone and there you go.More finished figures to follow shortly.Cheers for now.

Quick update on this month's 30 Days 30 Miniatures painting challenge:The leader figure for the Spartans in Mortal Gods. The figure is from Footsore Miniature and very nice, however the separate sword hand is small as is the wrist it is attached to. Too small to be pinned, other than that a great figure to paint. Day 25 - 17 figures completedCheers for now

The notion that a clean desk means a productive worker is an artifact of the mid-20th century. ... Mark Twain, for example, chose to leave his desk cluttered whenever he was photographed: Albert Einstein famously pointed out that "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?"Eeny, meeny, miny, moe? Which way I willI go?Perhaps only the fates will know?Or is all of this just for show?Drawn in too many directions on the painting table; time for a more focussed approach.Cheers for now.
