Yesterday What's New with Mike and Jeff in conjunction with Imperial Outpost Gaming hosted the 1st Annual Grumble Bowl - Blood Bowl Tournament. We had 18 coaches in attendance for a one day 3 round event. This will be an annual event and next year we should have it NAF approved.I brought a new team, The Renegades of Funk, a Chaos Renegade team made up of different races. It was a departure from my normal Orc teams that I play but still had an Orc on the team. I won two of my games and lost one, so not bad for me. I did cause a lot of causalities along the way because that is how we play Blood Bowl. Enough of me typing let me share some pictures from the event.GW sent us 15 copies of Blood Bowl so we would have enough boards for the event. We had two trophies for the event, Player Choice for Best Painted and the coveted Cactus Cup. The Cactus Cup is a 3D printed trophy that is approximately 19 inches tall. It was a $25 entry fee and everyone received a custom stein
I painted up tokens for the upcoming Grumble Bowl. I will use these to mark my re-rolls during my game. Since I am playing a mixed team I wanted to have one token for each of the different races on my team. The Grumble Bowl is on September 29th and it will be a fun filled day of gaming with friends. Until the event I will be spending the rest of this week working on other projects.
I finished my Chaos Renegade team for the upcoming Grumble Bowl. Today I finished my Orc model, this is the Forgeworld Star Player Varag Ghoul-Chewer that I will be running as a regular Orc.I also finished my Ogre, Dark Elf and Goblin models. These models are all the plastic models from Games Workshop. I also finished my Skaven model. This is another Forgeworld model however it has been modified. This was Hakflem Skuttlespike however I removed the second head and extra arms. I wanted to have a unique Skaven model and I feel this fits the bill. This is my 2018 Grumble Bowl team now I need to play a few more games with them before the tournament.
We are gearing up for 1st Annual Grumble Bowl 2018 on September 29, 2019. I am painting a new team just for this event, Chaos Renegades. I finished my Troll and Minotaur and have just a few more models to finish before this team is finished. We are also giving all participants a ball tray with their entry fee. They have all been resin printed with the latest technology in 3D printing. These can hold a 32mm round base and I am sure a square base would fit if you are into that kind of thing. We still have a lot to get done for this event and should be getting done over the next few weeks.
