Halflings

Big and Tall and Short and Plump

I missed updating last week, but this week has seen some good progress on my painting desk. I've got a bunch of diverse stuff I'm chewing my way through - Adeptus Titanicus stuff, a copy of Blackstone Fortress, a fantasy Halfling army, more High Elves and some other odds and ends that need doing. First on deck is a second Warlord Titan for my War Griffons Legion. The complete force. The second Warlord amps up the total game size I can play, and brings some much needed diversity to the weapons systems I can deploy. I've still got a second plasma cannon arm to paint, but I will probably do that in colors for my Legio Mortis force so they have some more options.Clamor Aquilae - The Eagle's Cry - brings its massive firepower to the battlefield.View of the plasma cannon and carapace lasers. The other arm has a mighty power fist, ready to crush the foes of the Emperor. If you follow me on Twitter (@Cwalton73), you've probably been watching me chip away at a bunch of Halfling models from Westfalia Miniatures f

[EN/PL] About how the Hobbits celebrate. Part II / O tym jak Hobbici świętują. Część II (Grabblecast Dog and Kennel)

Welcome!Today, a return to the theme of the Hobbits and their ways to celebrate. I used this entry:Two archaic models of halflings from the 80's from Games Workshop, which previously "bathed with paint" and painted anew.and a great terrain element from my friends from Grabblecast. This time it is a dog and a kennel. What I can say about this KIT is great details and wood sculpting. Many producers could learn such beautiful sculptures. I hope that it will appeal to a few people as a part of the terrain on the battle table.https://www.grabblecast.com/https://www.facebook.com/grabblecast/And now...We get a lot of information about the Hobbits in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, but of course not everything. Many details are in the notes of Master Tolkien, in various studies made by his son, and we can only guess the details.I wrote some time ago about the Pipe Smoking Day, which hobbits like very much, and now I invite you to the next part - A New Year.      The year of a small people, like o

Hello everyone!Today I invite you to the entry devoted to halflings, which quite often host in the pages of DwarfCrypt.I received models from  WestFalia  and are made of resin and consist of one part. Halfmen militia received round stands, as did the previous one in the company - Captain Strong.I encourage you to like the company and check the latest in the ongoing kickstarter:https://www.facebook.com/WestfaliaMiniatures/And now...The Battle of Green Fields was a clash /in 2747 on the Third Age at the Green Fields, between the Orcs commanded by Golfimbula, who during the Lean Years led his band southward and reached the North Shire Quarters.        Hobbits were commanded by Bandobras Tuk. Hobbit was known for its exceptionally large height, as it measured 4.5 feet. Thanks to this he could ride a horse, which was unheard of for the Hobbits - those who preferred ponies. Many of his descendants lived in North Quarter. They initiated the Tuk family from the North.F

Interview with Alex Huntley – A New Halfling Fantasy Football Team!

We have managed to get a brief interview with Warploque Miniatures creator, sculptor and all round nice guy Alex Huntley about his currently running Kickstarter. Alex’s ArcWorlde miniatures are made for his own skirmish ruleset, but here he tells us more about why he’s branching out. The Kickstarter itself is for the Ram Raiders, a new Halfling fantasy football miniatures team for use within various fantasy football games. Let’s Get The Ball Rolling… Can you please tell us a bit about yourself before we get started? Where do you consider yourself to fit into this brilliant industry? Ooooh, where do I begin? My name is Alex Huntley, I’m 25 years old from Yorkshire, and I sculpt wargaming miniatures for a living! For the past few years, since I left university, I’ve been selling my work through my company, Warploque Miniatures. Here I specialise in making unique, hand-sculpted and characterful miniatures for gamers, collectors and painters. And this new Kickstarter, what
