Hafr Stonebridge Rules so Far

I finished these rules for my Trollbloods custom project about a week ago and am still tinkering with the concept. The important parts for me would be for him to be a kind of melee tank with a potentially situational damage buff.I haven't moved pass the feat and the ability list because the feedback so far is that they are too powerful as they are.Any thoughts for this would be appreciated.Card was generated using Soul Samurai's Generator.

Game 18: Borka2 vs. Madrak1

The Not so Civil War continues! This time Borka the Vengeance of the Rimeshaws raises the Power of Dhunia to face his own kinsman whom Ironwood Chieftain Madrak has taken! The Glacier King is not really going to get shots against an entirely cold immune army (and all the stuff that isn't cold immune shouldn't be a viable target) that really he should be looking for places to run up and try to remove Mulg or Rok from the table.Borka2 uses a combination of charges, lightning fists, and countercharges to cut a hole into the Raider picket line. DEF 15 is no joke, but to beasts and a warlock who can boost, the bigger question is whether they will Tough under Madrak's Even Ground. getting lucky Lightning damage rolls to pop more Tough rolls helps widen the opening in the front. The best part is that it's behind a forest, a decent spot to hide my battlegroup. Mulg stays within 3" to keep Arcane Vortex in check to prevent Hunter from going off.Instead of a charge, the Glacier King opts to power strike the Earthborn int

Hafr Stonebridge, Background

BackgroundHafr Stonebridge has always been a Troll of the city. He grew up believing that the cities were the only civilized place to live, and as he grew up Hafr leveraged his natural strength and street smarts to become a highly coveted bodyguard and pugilist. His reputation at both fisticuffs and protection began to make actual fighting less inevitable, and as he was hired by more prominent clients his personal style trended away from the leather skins and animal fur hats his kin preferred and toward the long sleeve shirts and waistcoats of society. Thus dressed, Hafr might begin any encounter with no more than a threat or a taunt, and let the offending party go so far as to take the first punch. Should any stain hit his pristine outfits, Hafr would roll up his sleeves and earn his pay.Hafr's life began to change once the lands promised to his people were taken as a political expediency and given to the Llaelese exiles. He took to reading up on both the Runic histories of his blood as well as the written his

Game 17: Grim Angus vs. Kolgrima, Civil War

Steven and I played a third game in the basement, playing out battle 2 of the Trollbloods Civil War Trolloff! I won the roll and elected to go first and Steven picked the other side of the table.I put Weald Secrets on the Dire Troll Mauler and sent the Bomber out on the right to try and hold the zone against the Fennblades. Kolgrima thought she was safe behind a cloud, but the Bog Trog Mist Speaker gave the Hooch Hauler Guidance and Grim Angus feated, taking her down to a tasty DEF 11.I still missed with one of the Hooch Hauler attacks, but she was oiled and on fire, so she would have to retreat from the front liens earlier than she would like. She is one of the squishier Troll warlocks, but her gameplan often includes bringing her forward to feat or spray dudes. Lucky (or unlucky) for her, she didn't have much to spray into my cold immune army. The Fennblades do a bunch of damage to the Bomber, but fail to kill it. Kolgrima has no choice but to back that thang up just a bit. Grim Angus fails to cast Rage on t

Dhunian Archon CID Week 2

I know there's a lot in the CID aside from the Dhunian Archon, but if you know me you know I don't care. MAYBE I'll look at the Primal Archon a little bit, but I don't have a ton of time to even test/theorize the one for my faction. So let's go over some of the changes.REDUCED COST - This one is kind of an okay, we're going to acknowledge that maybe she's not as effective as we though, but you Trollbloods players won't care because she'll be free. Enjoy! I shouldn't get too excited because the points cost reduction means she'll be more accessible outside of our faction to Circle Players, and the thought of someone with Ravagers using her gives me chills because of the change toTHREADS OF LIFE - They changed the Martyrdom ability to be more like Severius's Vision or Madrak1's Scroll. You straight out cancel one attack per turn. The wording on this means you're probably not using this on your own turn trying to keep Fire Eaters alive (something I was planning on testing with a Hooch Hauler on Thursday

Game 16: Kolgrima Storm of the North vs. Thagrosh2 Children of the Dragon CID

Mike Gattone brought the Children of the Dragon with Thagrosh the Messiah of Everblight up against my modified for a Dhunian Archon Kolgrima Storm of the North list. He won the roll to go first, so I set up on the side behind the forest to get some relief from all the flying eyeless sight BS and sprays.I almost think he should have gone second and taken the side away from me.https://conflictchamber.com/?c7201b_-0Gj1joiUjqoP6GfJ0li-iZiZezez2NiTbKTrollbloods Army - 73 / 75 points[Theme] Storm of the North!!! Dhunian Archon

They spoiled the images of the Dhunian Archon. She will be on a medium base, unlike the other archons, and I'd have to say that I don't like the color choices going on here. The green skin with the orange hair makes her too Orcy for my tastes, so I might stick to my standard troll brown skin, maybe green clothes, or maybe standard blue as my troll scheme goes.I'm trying to find a list to test her in.Right now we're concerned that she doesn't do enough to justify taking up a Minion slot in a list or even taking up a free slot in the Power of Dhunia theme where she's included (and thus, could run 2 of her in).Often you need to use that minion slot to flex some part of your list, like using it to get a Bog Trog Mist Speaker for Guidance, for example.Option 1: Modify what you've gotList 1 : KolgrimaMy standard Kolgrima list minus her shaman buddies. I've played this list a lot and enjoy it immensely. I've been moving away from it because Kolgrima is always in danger of dying, and I think I might need to run

Game 14: Borka2 vs. Madrak1

Steven and I played two match-ups on that Saturday. The first was the one I would actually drop into his pairing. He brought Kolgrima and Madrak1. He figured Kolgrima wouldn't have game into either list (less use of sprays), so he dropped Madrak1 storm of the North. It's a list that uses a Glacier King, and I also really like how it plays.Borka2 POD is fast becoming a go-to list for me. One because it's low model count and two because it's effective. That doesn't mean it's easy to run.I start the game with five whelps out, and immediately sacrifice one for the Axer after all the other beasts run. Often Mulg gets Rush for free from Borka, or the Axer casts it on a piece that I want further forward, like if I'm going to need the Storm Troll. The other whelps start to position to contest the left zone.Unfortunately for me, a unit of Bears ambushes correctly and eats my contesting whelps. Not only do they eat the one contesting, but they are able to get into melee distance with the ones setting up to contest. The ta

Game 13: Borka2 PoD vs. Amon CM

Trying to get back into posting again. I was testing out a Grim1 Storm of the North/Borka2 Power of Dhunia pairing. Into Protectorate of Menoth, however, especially one that had "the jacks" I felt I had to drop Borka2.I'll have to write more thoughts about Trollbloods pairings, but I feel like a lot of our choices are obvious to our opponents and we rarely get to decide how a matchup is going to go.Going second against Amon is aggravating. I put the Storm Troll in front as a sacrifice to speed bump and give me options to countercharge forward.I also forgot that the Covenant of Menoth had a 5" Aura of no stationary... which means that if I were going to feat this should have been the time.Whelps deny scoring on the left zone. He sends in his Indictor early on to limit my spells, but Borka is able to stay outside and Primal his beasts. The trouble is the only beasts I can primal are Mulg and Rok because I haven't successfully staggered my beasts. Bad dice means it takes BOTH characters to trash the Indictor, so

Game 10: Borka Vengeance of the Rimeshaws vs. Garryth Blade of Retribution

Played Round 4 at ATC against...Retribution. Three games in a row against Retribution. Apparently our team captain thought I could handle all the gunfire. At least this game didn't have any Dawnguard Tridents. I was quite tired of those by this point. He presents me with a problem: Nayl in my face that ruins a central aspect of Hordes which is the casting of animi if Nayl blows up too close to my warbeasts (or even warlock).Nayl gets handled though, like he always does. Slams or throws. Anything that makes him die closer to the enemy. It buys Borka2 a turn to not worry about Garryth casting spells.  Rok goes in deep and Borka2 feats. It's a lot of work trying to get within 5" to shoot stuff without triggering counter-charge, and all the Stumbling Drunks mean that Rok actually gets pushed back my way. Garryth bails and jumps back behind the wall...and like a fool I give chase. I don't realize that the solo gives Garryth DEF 19 and whiff the second attack that would have had a good chance of killing the

Game 9: Borka2 vs. Issyria

Round 3 of the ATC I had to play into Issyria. Concerned over the Dawnmowers (Dawnguard Tridents), I put down Borka2. The picture above is an early feat.In response, Issyria has to feat. I mess up Rok's Stumbling Drunk moves during the incoming fire from the Trident part of Issyria's feat turn by letting him open up line of sight to Borka. Hemera steps up and crit shots the Vengeance of the Rimeshaws. This strips off countercharge and Issyria's turn gets a little easier.Eating all those shots from the battle engines, I wonder now if I shouldn't have put more into trying to get Snow Shroud up to grant Borka's army concealment since it would not benefit from stealth if/when Issyria feated. The second Trident tries to finish off the Earthborn with shooting and fails, and then Imperatus tries to follow up and finish the job, but there's a mistake. Despite losing Battle Charged from Hemera's Critical Dispel, Borka's feat is still live, and models making melee attacks would turn stationary, which is what Imperatus d

Game 8: Kolgrima Winterwitch vs. Lord Ghyrrshyld, the Forgiven

Round 2 of the ATC we played against Practice is for Chumps. I got drawn into (by either captain, I wasn't really paying attention to the draft) a match with Trevor Gould who dropped Goreshade4 into my Kolgrima. The plan here is to threaten the Dawnguard battle-engine with my bears and then try to contain the map on the left side with my champions.Goreshade's cavalry play some yoyo games in the fire cloud by stepping into and through to shoot at viable targets and then step back. He feats because I will have the capability to alpha strike on his army and he wants to gather souls for Goreshade for when I do.Kolgrima steps up to cast Cursed Fate on the Soulless Escorted Dawnguard Sentinels on the left flank to make sure any hit kills them. She feats and catches everything except the Soulless Escort. She also catches the battle-engine and, more importantly, Imperatus. Then she Vanishes back behind the Wall and behind a cloud with Rok beside her to cover her rightside.Trolls sweep through and clear all but one mod

Trollblood Inspiration: Converted into Fell Callers

In the Trollbloods Facebook Group, Johnny Fagerberg asked about Fell Caller conversions. And we determined that to be such a thing any model would need two weapons (possibly swords) and some kind of smoke stack/incense burner or whatever it is the original Fell Caller model carries. The option he discussed using was to take the Fennblade UA and give him a second weapon and an backpack torch. Seemed it would be solid enough. Only questionable thing would be the obvious 2" melee weapon substituting in for the 1" melee weapon. The community came out to share their ideas. I'm going to have have steal some of them.Mark Mallard shared his conversion based off Gerlak Slaughterborne. The weapons appear to be the Runeshaper hammers, but it's not obvious as to whether they are the plastic or metal  ones. Finally it carries a Fell Caller smokestacks and (I think) the Champion Hero's head in place of Gerlak's. Ethan Windschitl based his model off the Trollkin Sorcerer, making his Fell Caller truly one of the
