Future War Commander YMS-15 Gyan

The first of the Gundam models for my Cav Open Market list has been rolled off the painting desk today.I went for the "bottlecap" scale of the figures, which are around the 1/400 scale, so technically a little smaller then 6mm (at 1/300 up and about) but perfectly in size for FWC gaming, as every model stands about as big as a 32mm Heroic figure from Age of Sigmar and the likes. The models come in soft plastic, attached to a plastic bottle cap, so step 1 war removing the cap of course, and then the model was undercoated over it's pre-painted layer.  My beloved 'two layer cell shading' style works perfectly for these sorts of models (heck, it's due to them I started painting like that years ago) and the first walker for the walker filled army list was ready.Ruleswise, being not a Gundam but a "not so mass-produced' Mobile Suit, it's going to use the rules for the "Assassin" class, which is in theme with it being a close combat suit, with a secondary missile launcher system (mounted in the shield), at 260 p

Another Sunday; another post.

Hello and welcome to Inso's World again. This week has been another busy one, with the added complication of having a poorly wife to look after. As a result, I have been doing all the chores on top of what I would usually doing so my time has been well used.Luckily my wife has a really bad cough so I have really slept well this week... oh no... what I meant to say is that I have been listening to coughing all night so sleep has been a bit sparse too. That said, I must have had enough sleep because I have been able to work hard, get all my chores done and still have time for a small amount of hobby time.First up, I have been continue to work on my Primaris marines and have got another five, roughly base-coated. I just need to tidy them up, before a wash and highlighting:Click the Pic!Now for the distractions... I saw an image of a Mantic Teraton and thought "I've got one of those" so I dug it out, assembled it and have started to slap a base-coat on it:Click the Pix!I have no idea what I am going to do with it.

Kuromukuro

Now streaming on Netflix, it was time for me to enjoy another mecha anime, after the rather bland series I was watching lately. That`s what you get with ten random series of course, no idea how they would turn out...So here we have a 26 episode mecha anime featuring a time-displaced samurai battling in a Black Relic aka the mech versus an invasion of planet subjugating aliens... yeah, that sounds right up my alley.About 450 years prior to the present, an extraterrestrial force called Efy Dolgh invades Earth; the people of Sengoku era Japan dub their mecha and robotic drones as oni. The Washiba Clan falls victim to them, but clan heir Yukihime and her samurai retainer Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma fight back with a stolen Efy Dolgh mecha, which they dub the "Black Relic" (黒骸 Kuromukuro). They succeed in vanquishing their foes, but when the Black Relic is caught in an enemy explosion, Yukihime disappears. Then, 60 years ago, the Black Relic is unearthed during the construction of the Kurobe Dam. In the present day,

Gundam Build Divers

The third series detailing the hobby of GunPla building, I was hoping it would be as fun and light as the first two series. Now, hitching on the hype of being "in" videogames, Divers now follows a team of builders who immerse themselves in a sort of MMO with GunPla suits for quests.Plot (from Wikipedia)In the near future, where the Gundam franchise is at its peak and the popularity of Gunpla is soaring to new heights, a new Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online (VRMMO) Game called "Gunpla Battle Nexus Online" (GBN) is made. In Gunpla Battle Nexus Online, players can upload themselves and their Gunpla online through the virtual space and battle with players from across the world. In the game itself, the player assumes the role of a Gunpla Diver, and each year a special tournament called "Gunpla Force Battle Tournament" is held to prove who is the best Gunpla Diver. The story revolves around Riku Mikami, a 14-year old junior high school student and an admirer of famous Gunpla Diver Kyoya Kujo. He

Play 2018: mechas

Even in a convention based on boardgames, and games in general, you can find something different as mecha models made by artisans as Kallamity. Moreover this was the first time that I saw Dust models in a stand. I like 1946 concepts, even if I dislike historical WWII vehicles with legs added. Some of their mechas could be useful for wargame in 28mm, but soldiers are bigger. On the other things, there were a lot of great and extremely big Gundam models but I haven’t the right photos about them to show to you.
