According to locals the Chappata live in a mountain city high where the only why in is through a large gate in the bottom of the mountain, all the parties have to do is push open the gate and enter the city, where a bounty of treasure awaits. The Chappata are peaceful people and not known for their warrior skills so they should be easy to push aside. The winner in today's outing is the first player to push open the gate. The Gateway is defended by three warriors of the Chappata people, however a further warrior will join the defenders for every 18 rolled on the initiative table. They won't engage the parties until anyone gets within 10" of the gate or they are fired upon.Littered along the road to the temple is various piles of treasure, the players will gain rewards for collecting them, but this is a race to the gate..... Remember guys a race.....Turn one and it would appear blood feuds run deep, as the freebooters open fire on the Atlantians who are sandwiched on the main highway between to the two opposing fo

If you’re like me, you might have a lot of Frostgrave wizard figures. Mine are mostly from Northstar figures, who has been in partnership with Osprey Publishing since Frostgrave was published, and it is Northstar’s concepts for the final initial release of figures that are used as illustration detail throughout the rulebook. So I bought about one of everything once they were released. My problem is, aside from a few memorable figure pairs (of Wizard and Apprentice) sometimes I lose track of who or what is supposed to be what– one guy with a beard waving his hands dramatically looks a lot like every other guy doing the same thing. It’s probably not THAT important, anyway, yet, yet… I suppose I could label the bases but that kind of takes away from the aesthetics. Anyway, I jog my memory by creating a PDF file with the original artwork for the original releases from Northstar, as well as the follow up wizard figures from the later material (such as Thaw of the Lich Lord, Br
Nothing spurs you on to complete a micro-project like committing to put the next game on at the club. Having constructed Tidewater House a weeks ago I have finally finished the plantation house for the Haitian campaign of any of the occasional battles in the ACW or AWI that the club runs.I opted for the a slightly off white colour with white facings to give it thta classic colonial feel,I have decided not to base. Originally I thought about putting it on an MDF base surrounded by lawn's and cultivated shrubs but this might reduce it's use in perhaps more urban tables. Now let's see if Gareth Chasse can defend the Plantation Oiseaux Moelleux?Meanwhile news from Trent Miniatures several new items have appeared in the Haiti collection, with leaders of the slave revolt from both the begining and end of the revolution, with a bit of luck these will arrive and be painted in time for next game in early September.Boukman, the first leader of the August 1791 slave revolt in St. Domingue. Boukman had a large and power
