WWII German V1 Launch Ramp Released from Pendraken Miniatures

Well we promised you something special and here it is!  Many years ago we had a V1 with a launch ramp, but it was a single piece casting and quite basic so we decided to upgrade it a little bit...!This new launch ramp is a fantastic bit of work by John at Ironclad Miniatures and has been given an equally outstanding paint job by the talented Jason Dawson of JAD Designs.  John has based the design on the launch sites found at du Mesnil au Val or Vacquerie Le Boucq.Comprising of 8 pieces, the resin launch ramp comes in two base pieces along with a ramp, 4 supports and a sentry box.  We've then added a pair of engineers, plus a couple of sentries and a guard dog.  This is a big kit, measuring 330x140mm overall (210mm for the ramp) and would make an excellent objective in your WWII games.  You could add a countdown factor for added excitement, stop the rocket before it launches in turn 6...!  It would of course look just as good as a terrain piece on any northern France tables.WWII G

Trench Railway Released from Pendraken Miniatures

Something for the WWI gamers now, as we've released a complete trench railway system along with a Simplex locomotive to run on it!These railways were developed during the trench warfare period of WWI to allow the delivery of food, ammunition and construction materials to the front line, where the usual transport networks had been destroyed.  These narrow gauge tracks created a connection to the standard gauge railways further back from the front line and proved extremely successful.  As well as the UK, similar railways were used by Russia, France and Germany, with a variety of gauges in use from 600mm to 750mm (ours is 600mm).Simplex were known as Motor Rail during the war and were one of several producers of locomotives and wagons to run on these new trench railways.  We've done the early style of tractor with the open top, later versions had a covered roof over them and armoured side doors.  We've also done a small handcart as well, which could be pushed along the rail in front of the lo

Army Pack - Standardised or Points? by Pendraken Miniatures

We're about to get all of the new BKC-IV army packs prepped ready for our launch at Salute so we wanted to get a bit of input from you guys! When you're buying a ready-made army to go with a set of rules, which do you prefer:- Standardised: Where every army pack contains 1 x CO, 6 x Infantry units, 1 x Mortars, 1 x MG, 1 x Armoured Car, 3 x Armour units, etc. OR- Points Value: Where the contents equate to a fixed points value, eg 1500.With standardised packs the pricing is nicer as it would be roughly the same for every army, but the downside is that you'd need to point them up yourself and bolt things on to make a full battlegroup.  If we go with a fixed points value then you're always getting a set valued battlegroup that you can pick up and play straightaway in most of the scenarios in the rules, but the pricing might vary from £25-£40 depending on the contents. The 'Points Value' packs would still have a similar make-up, but with more/less armour and artillery depending on the unit costs for that

1809 Wurttemberg Sculpts & More from Pendraken Miniatures

The last batch of our 1809 Not-Kickstarter arrived last month but with all the work on BKC-IV and our 28mm Kickstarter, we didn't get chance to photo them for you!  We got some pics taken this past weekend though and then the sculpts have gone straight into a master mould.  We've also started on the production moulds this week, so the Hesse moulds should be done by the end of the week, Saxony next week, etc.In other news, we received all of the flag designs from Tony Hughes a couple of weeks ago, so we'll get those formatted and off to the printers.  They look cracking as well, Tony's done an excellent job on them.I'm not sure if we'll be able to ship any of these before Salute, but this will be our first priority once we're back from the show and we've shipped out the BKC replacements/pre-orders.  We'll send out the 2nd batch of invoices when the packages are ready to start shipping as well.WurttembergLine - 1 x Mounted officer / officer / standard / drummer / Fusilier x 4:Grenadiers/Ligh
