So the MCU has finally brought in the big hitters to tackle on Thanos, with this female lead (it is apparently a thing in today's society) origins story.Captain Marvel is as such the final movie before the Avengers: Endgame, and with half the heroes wiped out by the snap, it seemed the cavalry has been brought in big time. Now, what I liked about the movie especially, is all the knot backs to movies from before, like how the SHIELD base is the one from the beginning of The Avengers, or how the Kree Empire doesn't have that doom and gloom look yet it has in Guardians of the Galaxy. Or how MCU Fury lost his eye...The story itself is how a Kree warrior called Vers seems to have flashbacks to a previous life. Tought to hunt the shapechanging Skrull, she feels something is wrong and goes back to Earth to discover her past. Here she learns that she isn't who she appears to be, and how slowly her memories return with the help of a young Fury. During a hunt for a renegade Skrull scientist, Talos, she
A bit under the radar in the end, Venom was one of the anti-hero Marvel movies of 2018, produced by Sony in the Spider-verse.So we sat down and where ready to be emerged in what should become part of a joined universe... which now all is going to roll into the MCU apparently... While exploring space for new habitable worlds, a probe belonging to the bio-engineering corporation Life Foundation discovers a comet covered in symbiotic lifeforms. The probe returns to Earth with four samples, but one escapes and causes the ship to crash in Malaysia. The Life Foundation recovers the other three and transports them to their research facility in San Francisco, where they discover that the symbiotes cannot survive without oxygen-breathing hosts, which often fatally reject the symbiosis. Investigative journalist Eddie Brock reads about these human trials in a classified document in the possession of his fiancée Anne Weying, an attorney preparing a lawsuit defense for the Life Foundation. Brock confronts Life Foundati
"Something, something, trident"Okay, so that actual movie quote sums up Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, nicely: a great film with humour. It's something that started already since Suicide Squad: more colour and humour in the DCEU movies, as they where severly losing terrain on the more light hearted MCEU movies. Then Wonder Woman pulled up the "level" of quality of the films, and mix those two together and you get Aquaman. It's the origin story of Arthur Curry (who looks "a bit different" from his school boy comic look), child of two worlds which where never meant to meet, let alone have a child. But he is also the heir to the throne of Atlantis. And let Atlantis, regented over by his half brother Orim, be in turmoil and on the brink of declaring war on the surface dwellers due to them poluting the oceans. While orim, through treachery and plot, unites most of the tribes into a mighty army, Aquaman is convinced by the (gorgeous) Mera to stand up and claim his heritage by finding the Trident of A
The first of the OVA's of this hilarious superhero shows, this takes a look at Saitama in his early days of heroing. In the same comical style as the main series, it is getting used to to see Saitama before he got his iconic look though.During his first year of training, Saitama (who still has hair, and is wearing a blue track suit) has defeated numerous villains in the abandoned area in Z-City but is still having problems with paying the rent, we know this because the landlady says he's 3 months overdue on his rent, Saitama speaks with a shop owner who is being forced to surrender his store's deed by a local gang, several other shops have gone out of business, a conversation between the gang boss and one of his stooges reveal that the boss has been buying out all the stores in the area to destroy them, and the store owner's store is the last one left, hearing this Saitama gives counsel to the clothes-shop owner telling him to not give up, then we find out that the gang's base is part of Saita

Okay, I`m late to the party, I admit...Between when I started watching this series, and finally finished it last week, about 1.5 years have passed. For no other reason then just nt coming around to finish these 3 final episodes. Not because I didn`t like the series, au contraire, I love this series as it's great fun, but just, well, forgetting to.So Saitama... a cult figure in the meantime, and a second season underway. He was a normal employee suddenly attacked by a monster, and he defeated it at great effort. He then decided to become a hero by training hard, and became SO strong that he defeats opponents with a single punch. This results in Genos, a cyborg, joining him to learn how to become so powerful, as Saitama defeats monster after monster, albeit reluctantly as he looks for a fair fight. Together with genos he enregisters with the Superhero hq... and is ranked in the lowest class as he flunks tests on purpose. because he isn`t in it for the fame or the responsibility, he h
Noshi and me just finished the third season of this highly enjoyable superheroes anime, bringing us to the ready point for season 4 that will appear during 2019.Now, I really dig this series, it's an enjoyable, funny watch, and Bakugo is just to cool for words. In this 25 episode series, two main arcs are being played out. During the first, the League of Villains attack the students during a lodge trip, the fall out resulting in All Might facing his nemesis, and using up the last of the One for All power in the process. This means he now passes the mantle of Symbol of Peace to his successor, Midoriya. In the second arc, the students of UA have to face other schools in an exam to get their provisional licenses, as more heroes are required to fill the gap All Might has left. But the League is secretly infiltrating these tests to see what the hero community is up to...As I said at the start, a truly fun series to watch, and this was a great season... though Noshi prohibited me of building a Tiger
A lazy day of work movie, this one bites of the tally for 2019...The latest Pixar animated movie, and highly anticipated after the great fun of the first one, our superhero family is back in action. The Incredibles, a family of superheroes, pursue the Underminer. Although he escapes with stolen bank money, they stop his drill tank from destroying Metroville's City Hall with help from Frozone. The government, concerned by the collateral damage, shuts down the Superhero Relocation Program, leaving the Parrs without financial assistance from agent Rick Dicker. After Violet's date Tony Rydinger discovers her superhero identity, Dicker erases her from Tony's memory. Lucius informs Bob and Helen of an offer from Winston Deavor, the owner of DevTech, a telecommunications corporation. Winston and his sister Evelyn propose a publicity stunt to regain public trust in superheroes.Winston chooses Helen to spearhead the stunt under her old identity, Elastigirl, as she causes less property damage than Bob, and provides

Zombie time in this second OVA of Boku no Hero, in this second season story.Story about a joint practice session between Izuku's class and Isami High students at Yuuei Academy, takes place after the field training arc in the second season.Because in this tale, not only does class 1-A has to face each other in teams for a survival excersice, but also one from a rival school, where Tsu her best friend Mongoose is a student. But the class also has a fiery character, and in his rivalry with Bakugo he unleashes his quirk: a gas that transforms others into invunerable zombies...Me and Noshi really laughed our hearts out in this one to be honest, and Bakugo remains such a great character teeheehee...
The first OVA of this highly enjoyable series, it takes place shortly after the finale of the first season.Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! (救え!救助訓練!) was screened at Jump Festa 2016 on November 27, 2016. The OVA was later bundled with the 13th volume of the manga, released April 4, 2017UA High School must regain the public's confidence after the surprise villain attack during class 1-A's training session. Although some of the teachers were gravely injured in the attack, Izuku "Deku" Midoriya and his classmates must continue to learn and train, and utilize their quirks in varying environments and circumstances. Boku no Hero Academia: Sukue! Kyuujo Kunren! follows class 1-A as they attempt to finally complete their training. However, there's a masked figure roaming around the training center. Have the villains responsible for the previous incident returned to finish the job? If so, are the students ready to fight back?Great fun, especially how they take out the villain of the story, and
A personal favorite of Noshi, I benched the first season a while ago to have a go with her at s2, which she had already seen halfway. And while I thought the first one to be "okay", I quite liked the second one.And that second half themesong is just awesome btw...This season encompasses three big arcs in it's storyline, being at first a yearly sports tournament where the students have to overcome various hindrances, and each other. In the second arc, they are all on internship with pro-heroes, and while Midoriya learns how to control the One for All, Iida faces against Stain, the notorious hero killer. The final arc of the season takes the final exams of the class in, as the students get paired to face off against one of their teachers, being forced to overcome their weaknesses. It was as I started with a very joy to watch, and Midoriya is, to quote Noshi, "such an adorable character".Now onwards to the next season, because this stuff if surely better then the overload of Marvel and DC we have been facing the pas
In the wake of the death of Superman, it's time for the DC heroes to assemble and fight evil all over the world... enter the formation of the Justice LeagueSo yeah, apart from Wonder Woman and Suicide Squad, I ain't been wild about the DCEU so far, so let's see how this stuff goes...Thousands of years ago, Steppenwolf and his legions of Parademons attempted to take over Earth with the combined energies of three Mother Boxes. They were foiled by a unified army that includes the Olympian Gods, Amazons, Atlanteans, mankind, and a Green Lantern. After repelling Steppenwolf's army, the Mother Boxes were separated and hidden in locations on the planet. In the present, mankind is in mourning over Superman, whose death triggers the Mother Boxes to reactivate and Steppenwolf's return to Earth. In an effort to regain favor with his master, Darkseid, Steppenwolf aims to gather the boxes to form "The Unity", which will destroy Earth's ecology and terraform it in the image of Steppenwolf's homeworld.Clark Kent's bod
So we return to one of the funniest Marvel heroes of the MCU so far, as Ant-Man gets it's second cinematic release.I loved the first one for it's "childish" humour (the train sequence!!!) so was curious about this one.PlotScott is serving two years of house arrest following his misadventures with Cap in Germany, and his violations of the Sokovia accords. He is forbidden to have any contact with Hank or Hope, when he suddenly gets a dream / vision about the original wasp, Janet Van Dyne.He is soon contacted by Hank and Hope as a result, as apparently it came forth from their experiments to retrieve her from the submolecular realm, which Scott was the only one to ever enter and return from. Using a rouse, he escapes from his house and joins in a wild chase to get the quantum tunnel ready, while a criminal organisation is trying to get the hardware from the fleeing scientists for their own purposes, and an ex-partner of Hank trying to use it to cure a constantly in flux girl turned vigilante...What I
