This Forge World Warlord Titan was on display at Warhammer World. At the Titan’s feet you can see Knights and Rhino APCs, which look really small, almost Epic sized in comparison. The post Warlord Titan at Warhammer World appeared first on Felix's Gaming Pages.
This Forge World Chaos Warhound Titan was marching across the battlefield at Warhammer World. Wider angle with Land Raider and Vindicator in shot. One of the things I like about Warhammer World are being able to see Forge World model in the flesh as it were. You really get a feel for the size and mass of the model, which isn’t always apparent from seeing it on the website. The post Forge World Chaos Warhound Titan appeared first on Felix's Gaming Pages.

Ovakvi ponedeljci su dani kada nam je žao što nismo smislili neku muzičku temu. Elem, stiže nova sezona Moćnih Rendžera, a podosta Kickstarter parica uzima i zvanična District 9 društvena igra. Tu je i Titan, koji smo videli na Essen Spiel prošle godine, a konačno je lansirana Kickstarter kampanja […] The post Kickstarter 23. They say, quite accurately, that Christmas comes but once a year. Writing this article in June, that may seem like an odd thing to open with. However, there are a lot of things that Christmas has in common with the UK Games Expo. They both get a lot of people excited; both have enormous expectation, are inevitably exhausting and both leave the adults completely skint after a flurry of purchasing the latest and greatest. I may or may not be speaking from experience on that last point.Read more »
That thing I said about "No more eBay purchases"...?Mistakes were made.Actually, I did kind of tell myself I wasn't going to purchase anymore stuff off eBay... UNLESS one of these came along for a not-too-unreasonable price! Then that kind of happened.Anyone paying REALLY close attention to the previous post might have noticed me mention some... stuff... needing to be painted.Anyway, I woke up to this notification...and I may have squealed like a little girl and then done a happy dance...Then these showed up today...An old Armorcast Eldar Phantom Titan and an equally old Armorcast Eldat Tempest Heavy Grav Tank. Some of my other Aeldari Heavy Hitters - that all still need to be painted (or... Repainted). I also have a Wraithknight, but it's in pieces still and couldn't be propped up for the photo!Looking at these, I'd seriously like to get a second Revenant Titan and third Tempest...For a sense of scale here they are with my Imperial titans, a squad of infantry and Keira's Wraithknight - which is almo
The Warmaster had sounded the Call, and Legio Amare Feles had answered. Though a shadow of their once great former selves the three remaining engines, their brave crews, and support personnel embarked at Xoxigar Secondus - their home forgeworld - and travelled forth to Malice, where the enemy had decided to make their stand... This weekend I attended the Battle of the Abyss - an annual apocalypse event held here in Saskatoon. This was my first such event and only the second 40K tournament I've ever been to.It was a team event - two players joined forces to field 300 Power Level (~6000points) of stuff. The players could each have up to four detachments. I partnered up with a fellow named Halsten. I'd heard he was playing Mechanicus/Knights and I had lots of Imperial Guard and a Warhound Titan, and figured we could probably put tougher a decent force. Originally I was going to take the one Warhound and the Shadowsword and a Brigade Detachment of the Tallarn.... But, then I got another Warhound Titan.
++[exloaded from] Ilyan Curtis, First princeps Legio Amare Feles, (101000101011101, code compression ghe) [supplementary data modules collated, Stream 5] [begins]The fleet stands ready at Xoxigar Secondus. The call of the Warmaster has been heard. The enemy has chosen to make it's stand on Malice. The situation is in extremis. The engines will walk.++I've finished up Leonem Caeruleum - my Reaver Battle Titan - with less than a week to go before the Battle of the Apocalypse - Armageddon Event! The model is an old Armourcast Reaver Titan.Though, from the packaging, this one actually says it was made by Forge World? Perhaps when Forge World started up they took over all the old Armourcast moulds...?Sticking with the "Cat" theme I tried to make this one look a little like a Lion - with a stylized mane on the carapace.Leonem Caeruleum joins it's mates in the Eritque Arcus Maniple; Tigris Viridi and Pardus Purpura. With a Shadowsword Super Heavy Tank, three Leman Russ tanks, a Sentinel, five
It's a public skewl break this week and the kids are having friends over every day this week to play games. Today we set up a little apocalypse game so their tyranid friend could get a chance to field his Hierophant Bio-Titan (and I could get a little apocalypse practice before the Battle of the Abyss on the 2nd of March!)I'd hoped to get started right around 9am when the Boyz arrived... unfortunately, despite me telling them, multiple times, to have their force organized into battle-forged Detachments... they had not done so... nor did they bring their own copy of the rules... or the rules for their Bio-titan... So it we didn't get started until around 10am...SITUATIONA significant force of Tyranids has been detected on Xoxigar Tertius (suspected to be from Hivefleet Haemorrhoid) - including a Hierphant Bio-Titan. The two Warhound Scout Titans of Eritque Arcus Maniple of Legio Amare Feles - stationed on the nearby Forgeworld of Xoxigar Secondus - were summoned to destroy with the Bio-Titan and support t
I've never actually had a chance to play with my Warhound Titans. I've been thinking, since I'm going to be playing with them at an Team Apocalypse Tournament in a few weeks, I should actually get them on the table and try them out. I tried arranging a couple games with my partner for the Apocalypse event, but he's had to bail on me a couple times. So, this evening, I tried setting up a little battle on my own to play solo and suss out how good (or bad) they are.Going into it I had a general feeling that they're just not worth the points. In the last two Chapter Approved books they actually INCREASED the points from what they originally were in the Forge World Index books. Luckily we're playing with Power Level and not points, but I was still not convinced they were worth it - at 75 Power Level for a Warhound Scout Titan - especially looking at the damage dealing some of those new Knights can do at half the power level!!Set up one of the Warhounds on one side of the table (75PL)Now there isn't an Codex: Adept
I was taking a picture of the progress I've made on the Reaver Titan to post of Facebook, and I thought I'd share it here as well...Bit grainy - but what do you expect from spy footage collected by intelligence operatives the Great Enemy (actually it's just really dark downstairs and too freaking cold and snowy to take pics outside in better light!)No, I'm not painting it fully assembled - I just put it together temporarily for the pic.Together with its Titan Maniple mates.Working on it in bits and pieces, I'd kind of forgotten how BIG it is!!! This apocalypse event is going to be an epic throwdown!Coming Soon to Tim's Miniature Wargaming Blog:My partner in the team apocalypse event is coming over tomorrow to throw 150 Power Level of stuff at the Warhounds to see how they do - I've never actually PLAYED with them and I thought it might be handy to do so BEFORE the event - which is just a month away!!In the meantime I am also working on a number of minis I need for the Wrath & Glory RPG-Marathon Weekend! H
OK so it only seems right the new year begins how the previous one ended right ? After painting the paladins and lancers, I only had the wardens left to do ! Read Moar Skullz »
The Reaver Titan hasn't even arrived (although, according to the tracking information, it is in Canada and left Mississauga yesterday and is scheduled for delivery next week some time), Ive gone and done it again...In my defence, I'll point out these Armorcast beasties paint up rather quickly and it won't linger on the unpainted mountain very long... and these old Eldar Titans don't show up on eBay nearly so often as the Imperial ones. (I had also bit on a Phantom Titan that came up a month or so ago... still kicking myself that I didn't go a bit higher....)... AND I got it for about the same price as a knight - and much, much less than the current Forge World Revenant Titans!I'm going to be able to have apocalypse games at home! Paired with The Girl's Wraith Knight we'll have some hard-hitting Aeldari that can take on my Imperial Armour! In other news... the kids and I played a little Very Scary Solstice concert for some friends and family last night... (We played about 10 traditional Xmas carols - but h
So I kind of did this thing again...Um... yeah...So the Eritque Arcus Maniple now has a Reaver Titan - or it will, when it ever gets here! This means I'll be able to field a full Super Heavy Detachment with an Adeptus Titanicus faction keyword... of course that detachment is going to be 270 Power Level - or 8000 points - about the size of FOUR tournament armies combined!?Go Big or Go Home, right? Now what colour and pattern to paint it with...? I was thinking a bright turquoise blue. But what pattern? I don't want to do Cheetah spots - If I was going to do cheetah spots, I should have done it on one of the smaller Warhound Titans. Jaguar? How different is that from a Leopard? I was thinking "lion" at one point, but then there'd really be no patterning - unless I did something to make it look like it had a mane?Coming Soon to Tim's Miniature Wargaming Blog: Probably NOT the REaver Titan.. It'll probably be a week or two before it shows up.I should get those Mice and Mystics minis done...(hate that "S"
