40K Tournament List Build

I thought I would share my journey of building out my 40K Tournament List. I have a tournament coming up soon at Sanctuary Gaming Centre! Yah! It’s this one. I’ve never been to this store before so I’m hoping it’s great! I only want to take painted stuff. Fully painted and completed models. I’m unsure if that’s a requirement yet, but I think it’s good to assume it is. Never miss an article? Subscribe! This somewhat limits me of course. But by doing this task now, I can plan and paint ready for the tournament. 40K Tournament List Restrictions So […] The post 40K Tournament List Build appeared first on Warhammer 40K Blog.

Warhammer Underworlds Organised Play 2019

I covered the Organised Play box from the first season of Underworlds, and was able to get my hands on the new 2019 set that was released to support Nightvault. These sets are available to stores as event support sets, and the content should be used as prize support for instore events, like tournaments or […]

Let this by the day we draw swords...

Okay, it's decided. After pondering on the idea for some time now, I have decided that in 2019 I will be returning to playing wargame tournaments. At first, I was tinkering with the idea of doing it in 40k, the game I've been playing the most at TSA the past 1.5 years.  But reading and watching on Nova "horror stories", in which I mean the very heavy min / max'ing that this edition seems to cause, I decided against that in the end.  The same goes for the fact I don't want to / are able to to invest a heap of time in studying every tactic and unit of every book like in the old days.  My Emperor's Children would be a ping pong ball in an extreme bowling alley as a result. While attending Crisis this year however, I learned about the existance of the Flemish Hobbit League, and their tournaments.  While I returned to MESBG anyways, and looked into the system that I loved ever since 2001 again, I made the decision.  They run about 5 to 6 tournaments a year, and of those 1 is around the corner

Warhammer Underworlds Organised Play 2018

When I published the reviews on the first season of Warhammer Underworlds Shadespire and the second season Nightvault, I already mentioned that Games Workshop strongly supports the rule set with their own website, lot of content and event support. Among this content, there are organised play sets. I've seen some people that have participated in […]

Gamestart - A Time of Legends

Schedule for the dayThe guys and me decided to get out and attempt another tournament, this time a 1750 event using ITC Champions ruleset. Zach and the GREX team did a great job of putting us in an awesome location - Suntec City Convention Centre. This was held in conjunction with Gamestart Asia. I love the fact that the ceiling was high, allowing noise to dissipate and made it very easy to communicate with your partner. I managed to complete my 1750 list and it looked like this:Battalion (Blood Angels)MephistonLemartesScouts with shotguns and bolt pistols x4, Sergeant with chainswordScouts with shotguns and bolt pistols x4, Sergeant with chainswordScouts with shotguns and bolt pistols x4, Sergeant with chainswordDeath Company with boltgun and chainsword x4, with boltgun and power sword, with boltgun and power axeStormraven with hurricane boltersSupreme Command (Adeptus Custodes)+open the vaults (-1CP)Shield Captain on Dawneagle Jetbike with Auric Aquilis and Radiant MantleShield Captain on Dawneagle Jet

NOVA Narrative Recap- The Unstoppable Dreadnoughts

NOVA was this last weekend and man was it a BLAST. It is definitely a smooth run operation and I plan on going back again for a third time next year. Last year I took my all Death Rider Army to the NOVA GT and Trios. This year I intended to do the Trios again, but due to team mate issues, I instead went to DC and did the tourist thing on the day of the trios. This is one of the untold bonuses of NOVA, you are practically in Washington, and taking an uber or the Metro to the museums/monuments is easily done and worth it if you are not from the area.  But after a day of site seeing I got to jump into the NOVA Narrative! Check out their mission pack here. Some really fun and cool missions you should try at home (especially Shuttle Crash and Refinery IMO).My 2500 point army. All my armies would be made from this!I had started this article a few days ago, but now I feel I must temper my enthusiasm before I launch into the review.Edit: I leave the following 2 paragraphs for completions sake, but I wa
