New Sci-Fi X Scenery from TTCombat

We have a little bit of Sci-Fi X news…With Battle for Earth arriving shortly (more info on that very soon) we have a sneak peek today at some of the scenery the design team have been working on for the upcoming release! We hope to have a full boards worth of Sci-Fi X buildings ready when Battle for Earth launches with a new edition of the Dropzone Commander rules. In this shot you get a good view of the back of Mike’s stadium, it’s a big kit coming in around a foot square. You can also see one of the new flood drain board tiles, we wanted to make something like this to add some depth to the board as a whole.Next up Neil has been busy making new brownstones. These are primarily designed to be filler and go around all your other buildings. They are perfect for making areas of the city more dense as well as being combined into a larger residential complex. From here you can see the flood defence board sections extend right the way across. Some other new things are office building covered in triangles (I’m thinking

Work In Progress Wednesday Dropzone Commander Army Builder from TTCombat

We are delighted to show you our newest project, an army builder for Dropzone Commander.Hi, it’s Chris here, and I am very excited to be able to show off my work for once on a Work In Progress Wednesday. I have had great pleasure to be working on a project I was very excited about for a while, a fully fledged Army Builder for Dropzone Commander.Currently the builder is going through in house beta testing and is still very subject to change, however the basic functionality is all there and though I have to make sure certain secrets for Battle For Earth are kept secret, I’m allowed to show anything about the Builder itself.Using the Builder:To show this project off, I shall start by showing the basic steps to building an army with it. I have striven to make this process as simple as possible so new players can quickly get to grips with the depth of the army composition system.Choosing a Faction:On loading the builder up in your web browser, you are met with the Faction Select screen:Choosing a faction opens up

Apex from TTCombat

How about the Apex? This colossal beast is the ultimate predator, snacking on smaller creatures and even battletanks with very little care for the difference! This massive monster is for Dropzone Commander, and you can find its (ludicrous) rules here. Now’s the time to pick up the Apex, as with Battle for Earth round the corner, it’s good practice to fight against. You’re going to need all the help you can get fighting giant enemies.ApexThe Titania Pattern Condor is also back in the store. Only available for a brief period last year, this one has already become a firm fan favourite. With a bulkier design than the standard Condor, this one looks like it really means business!Rearm your UCM ground forces with a new dropship to attack Earth soon!Titania Pattern CondorTTCombat

WIP Wednesday Space Hedgehogs from TTCombat

WIP Wednesday Space HedgehogsLet’s take a trip to the Commanderverse for today’s WIP Wednesday! The Battle for Earth is approaching, and all factions are taking part!Yes, even those meddlesome space hedgehogs the Shaltari.I took a trip down to the resin room to see what they’re working on. They wouldn’t show us everything, but while their backs were turned I stole this mysterious alien part. This is a piece straight from the 3D printer. The orange is the printed resin, and the resin team have attached the feeds ready to make a master mould of it.I couldn’t tell you exactly what it is, but it’s definitely a Shaltari gun of some sort. Not sure what exactly it attaches to, or even whether it’s for Fleet or Zone. It looks like Zone, but with such a long barrel it could be a very formidable space ship weapon! We’ll have more soon, but for now I have to pop back down to resin and sneak this back into the production queue.TTCombat

Battle for Earth is Approaching from TTCombat

Battle for Earth is approaching, and with it we’ve got lots of new art to show off.How much art is going in BFE? More than has ever been in a Dropzone or Dropfleet book before!I’m currently putting the book together, putting pictures next to words and all that fun stuff, so I thought I’d show a WIP of the book itself, with a mysterious piece of new art that Reidun has completed. What’s happening in this scene? I’m not telling!I will say that this particular picture takes place in the prelude to the Battle for Earth itself, during the Phase 3 portion of the book.As we get further and further in production, I might be allowed to show off some more stuff from the book, maybe even some full page spreads. Keep an eye out for more coming very soon.TTCombat

Resistance Vehicle Peek from TTCombat

A sneaky orange Resistance vehicle peek of what the resin room are up to.This here is a brand new sculpt for Dropzone Commander! What could it be? I’m sure a lot of you will figure this one out, but I’m saying no more! This is a 3D print straight off the printer. It still needs some cleanup before it gets put into a master mould to make this truck a little resin reality. We’re going to be showing off more of what Dropzone and Dropfleet releases you can expect with the launch of Battle for Earth later on this year (release date TBC), so be sure to check back often for more treats!TTCombat

New 10mm Sci-Fi Buildings from TTCombat

New Sci-Fi Buildings from TTCombatCivitalis pattern buildings can be found all over the galaxy where there's been a human presence. One of the most standardised designs available to mankind the origins of the pattern are lost to time, some say that humanity has always had the knowledge to build these buildings while others state, quite clearly that there's no evidence of these buildings existing before the 2nd millennium.COMMERCIA CIVITALISEven war torn futures need somewhere to buy commodities, like combat knifes, relic toasters, or holy maintenance oils for your bed springs. While that may not be much of an issue to those piloting war machines that tower over buildings, its nice to know that even if your planet is getting invaded, virus bombed or its just another Thursday afternoon there's always a bottle of non-person powered dairy substitute waiting for you. With a set of billboards and rooftop walkways the Commercia Civitalis provides great areas for your more modest war machines to take cover from the b
