Paint Table Saturday 278 - Completed Skeletons

Hi All,Well, I'm sorry about the extra spotty posting of late. Track Season and being sick have effected hobby output across the board. Although I didn't finish the figures I had planned to do, I managed to fulfill my 200 point obligation to the Old World Army Challenge.I am at that point of the year where I am frustrated with a lot in life. To use a cliche, I'm not sure I'm living my "best life." Anyway, I'm taking a break from social media etc for now to try and really accomplish my hobby goals. If you're curious about how I painted these I encourage you to read it on the Old World blog. It's very straight forward and easy.I'd like to welcome Ed Gladdis to the blog, sorry to be a downer before welcoming you. Ed is a super talented painter and has his own blog The Work of Shaitan. You owe it to yourself to follow him. Thanks for looking.Happy painting.

Warmaster – Empire Army / Part II

Hello! I would like to invite you to watch the units of imperial shooters for Warmaster. Models are of course 10 mm scale. The figures are grouped into three units, each with its own colour theme. I think it’s worth to pay attention to the bases. It took a lot of time to make them carefully in this scale. Commission painting services – minisforwar@gmail.com

Paint Table Saturday 276 - Cultists, Orks and Beastmen join the Undead

Hi All,With Track Season in full swing I seem to have less time to actually blog. Last Saturday my son ran a 5K and this Sunday he will be running a 3K.So I've been plugging away at the plastic zombiesand skeletons.I should have been prepping the Skull and Crown "archers" but I took the path of least resistance and kept on working on things that were primed/started.I also started digging through the collection to look for the bits I need for this summer's Realm of Chaos renegade game at Warhammer World. A couple of Orksand some plastic Cultists made it onto the table, [In both cases they came with paint jobs that will need to be stripped.]as well as a box of Gors I purchased to convert into "Beastmen in Spaaaaace!"Thanks for looking.

Paint Table Saturday 271 - Guard and Skeletons

Hi All,A lot of prep going on this week. Well maybe not a lot, but zero painting occurred.I continued assembling the Lieutenant and command section for my Imperial Guard for the local Rogue Trader campaign at the end of the month. I still need to build a guy with a grenade launcher for the squad and build a Sergeant for the command section. Still not sure what to do about the Vox Caster guy. Pictured above is the Lt, two man Lascannon, Medic and Orderly (carrying the platoon banner. Still not sure how to handle the difference between the old shoulder mounted lascannon (laszooka) and the 2nd Ed forward crew served Lascannon.Death Riders basing is finally finished. I need to base coat that and some of the missed spots on teir under carriages.I also did some base work on the catapult crew. I don't remember points values right now, but I think the cavalry and the engine with crew will get me to the 200 points I need for the OWAC this month.Lastly I finished the base work on these gents. My intention is to prime t

Paint Table Saturday 268 - Undead and IG

Hi All,Still unpainted, but slightly more assembled this week. Here is the 1000 points arrayed. Nowhere near as far along as they should be. Oh well. The Command section I'll be adding to my existing IG squad for the local campaign I've been invited to. I'm trying to ridge the gap between the compendium and 2nd Ed 40K IG lists with 2000 era figures. Above is the medic, Lieutenant, banner orderly and Lascannon team. This is the squad they will join. I painted them last year. I will swap out the Vox Caster for a guy with a grenade launcher. Thanks for looking, happy painting and happy holidays.

Drugi zombie dla kolekcjonerów | Second zombie from Collectos Series

:)This is not dead which can eternal lie - let this phrase be a summary of lack of updates on the blog, which was caused by my painting block. In order to improve state of the things I decided to finally paint second zombie from the Citadel's Coll

The Official White Dwarf Guide to making a 1000pt Army

Hi All,With people in full prep mode for OWAC 2 there can be a lot of angst when it comes to making your 1000 point army list. One tactic would be to just give points to what you want to paint and then any amount over the 200 points per month is just not considered. For the last challenge, I attempted to make a strict, legal 1000 point force. 1016 I think. I ended up adding a lot of stuff right at the end that brought it up to around 1300 and some, War Altar and wizards mostly. We've all heard that the Armies book, and its minimum troop requirements, were designed for 3000 point armies. It's also been kicking around for quite some time that you could just reduce the troop minimums by 1/3 or 2/3 for a 2000 or 1000 point army. Airbornegrove pointed out to me where you can find this in writing, White Dwarf 144.It's a pretty good article on a person's thinking for how they're going to start building an army, and I think what the intent of the OWAC really is, rather than being a straight up painting competition.See,

Wcielenie Nagasha | An image of Nagash

Gobos do Warhammera | Gobbi for Warhammer

This Warhammer Gobbi is the result of painting adventure with my daugher, she really wanted to paint a miniature together with Daddy. Our chosen miniatures were two plastic gobbos from Battle for Skull Pass set. I really like them

Realm of Chaos - goodies in White Dwarf

Hi All, This excellent post by Whiskey Priest got me thinking about a lot of things, so I went ahead and started looking at the White Dwarf issues around WD 107 which he mentions. After his post on Renegade Orks I had been starting to think about making my own Renegade war band. Off to the tomes (Slaves to Darkness, The Lost an the Damned) to go back over rolling a war band. I was able to complete my book collection (at stupid prices) a few years ago but the bug to actually do stuff with them had never firmly taken hold. I blame my usual gamer ADD.So, which issues have Relam of Chaos articles in them? Lets see.The first set of articles I found was in WD104The introduction of Slaves to Darkness, the color painted figure gallery that was in the book, and an article showing the process of converting Chaos mutations on your figures, complete with stat blocks of the finished example figures. Then WD106An exposition of Beastmen. I haven't read it through carefully, but I think it is more or less the s
